It's an IOI. Obviously, you need to take charge. Either you summons her with your finger, to which she may or may not respond. Or, you have enough confidence to walk over to her and be different. Don't say something that every other guy would say.
For instance, I put this on another thread today . . . you get EC with her, get up, walk over to her, while maintaining that EC. Don't break it. It will autmoatically be broken several times anyway from the people that you pass behind on the way to her. Doesn't matter. You maintain the EC to show that you are confident. You get to her, stop, and say something like "do you have the guts to talk to me . . . or are you just gonna watch me?" With a smile on your face the whole time, of course.
The approach alone, if you handle yourself right, will build anticipation in her.
That is absolutely great tripp, but what would be a good transition from that... This is where I have the most trouble. I can be confident and cocky but I draw blanks on what to say after the initial open. any suggestions?
Hey man. Obviously, the next step/word is in her court at this point. What I would suggest is to first work with what she gives you. If she just gives a flat answer, like yes or no, you could say "wow, you're fun. I took the initiative to come over here, and all you can do is say one word? Hmmm, maybe I should find some better company." And smile, of course. If she wants you to hang around, most likely she will give you something back. If she say says or acts like she doesn't care, tell her "thanks for letting me know now, so I don't waste my time," and just go. You've already got social proof at that point. Use it to open another set. If she gives you something back, something else to work with, I would roll with that for a minute, then go into a game gambit or a DHV story, and proceed from there. It wouldn't set the right tone if you shoot straight from THAT opener to a game or a story about yourself.
