| I'm at university. There is a girl, not particularly a shy HB10, but just has a smaller social network (no sorority, doesn't party much). Supposedly had/has a boyfriend, guy seemed like a total tard and my friends, very straightforward non-bs people said I have way more going for me. Skim/get the general gyst of it. I'm just trying to get something objective here.
Okay, so get this. I've seen her around but never spoke to her. Finally, she walks by my table at lunch, I'm alone. She sits down (place is crowded) some other dudes notice her. One walks over, doesn't approach, comes back to his friend and said he just wanted to see her. They leave 5 mins later, I go "fk it" and approach, ask if we know each other, blah blah blah, she sees we may have met (I know we didn't, but I know she's seen me around so it's less ackward.) We talk, number close her, follow-up.
We have dinner, she brings friends, we're all just talking amongst ourselves. This is a little less than a month ago now. Right, so after, we plan to meet up after her cousin who was visiting leaves. That falls through, fast forward to Spring break, I call her out of the blue, tell her I'm going to NYC (she's from Hoboken) and she says I should stay and meet with her Thursday, tell her I got shit to do, she says we should meet during the summer then when I'm in NYC for my internship.
Fast forward back on-campus. We text, she's working:
Her: I work from 5 to 7. My foot is fixed thanks for asling!
Her: For asking sorry was typing under the desk to not be caught haha
Me: Ha no worries. Will try to keep you out of trouble then. Be at Rose around 7 with friends. Join me.
Her: No um not coming down the hell after im staying up here to study all night, might grab lunch at oaks if its open tho"
Me: Lunch? Think it closes at 7:30. Poor thing. All nighter right after spring break?
Her: Yup
Me: What'd you decide? I'm studying too but not all night.
(hour later)
Me: Where you studying? I'm in the library computer room. Just finished assignment.
(Next day)
I come across her at the dining hall. She's at a french table. I vaguely remember what french I learned from some intro class awhile back so join. I suck, can't communicate much, and she's sitting next to some guy who she's chatting with, smiling and some light kino going on.
I text her after: "How do you say my french needs improving? I learned how much I forgot tonight.
I see her a few days later at her library job by chance. Short talk, basically ask if she wants to hang out, she says yes.
I text her today: "If I get through this week I'll believe there's a god up there."
"What's your gameplan this weekend? Say we make plans as we spoke about."
And this is where I'm cliffhanging. No texts back since where I last indicated she texted me.
Tomorrow I know she's working and will be studying anyways, want a new cold approach. Kind of want to indicate I want to spend more time with her and invite her to a fraternity formal coming up. How can I turn things around in my favor here?
I still approach many other girls fyi. This one isn't my oneitis (past that) but is one I really want. What's a good play to kind of recover here?
