After a year of buying drinks from this HB (bartender), I finally got her Facebook Saturday night. just not sure what to say next?? Convo so far..

I know it's not much but I have been really awful at mid game lately, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's only acceptable to try and talk to someone over text or facebook if you have done your groundwork in the field. If you are asking her about her job, you haven't got to know her enough to even try and have a conversation consisting of anything more than small talk.

Honestly have good playful conversations with her in person. She can be very flirty with me and by all means I do realize what her job is as a bartender. My texting game just sucks really bad! Had a nice waitress throw herself at me one night and I was really drunk, she came back two weeks later just to give me her number. All in all I screwed that one up. Face to face I do great, get a screen in front of me and I'm a big dummy. Wish I could find a good source on texting.

SO... After lurking on the boards, reading a small book, and watching a whole slew of videos! I get now that falling back on a question about (her) work when there is so much more to talk about is weak! At least in this case, due to me being a paying customer. Been field testing some simple short lines in and out of convo on a rekindled HB that I feel a bit more comfortable with and all seems to be working out good! I can only learn from my mistakes, thanks guy's!

Are you planning on talking to this girl face to face @ work or strictly via texting? Solely or mainly texting would be a terrible idea.

You have to build intrigue in women in order to reel her in.

Whenever you stall in conversation or don't know what to transition to next, bring up the topic of pickup.

It will intrigue and fascinate her.

Preferably do this NOT @ her workplace but over the phone or in a one-on-one setting.

I have really taken a step back just to analyze the situations I've been in not with just this one but several others that have either worked there or just fellow patrons and just where things have gone wrong or at least I didn't advance on opportunity. A few months ago I was chatting up this female at this bar and afterwards my "bartender" asked if I was a womanizer, clearly a missed opportunity and she did seem intrigued about it! Instead of explaining as you did, I had no clue what to say and pussed out! All in all, things are in a neutral place right now and I do plan on getting her out face to face, just gotta get the timing right with my schedule.
