I'm an engineering student in the States at a really prestigious school, and I'm kind of sick of being bad with women. It's gotten to the point where I know I need to do something drastic to wake myself up.

I've decided I want to study abroad next spring somewhere in Spain, mainly because becoming fluent in spanish has been a goal of mine for some time, and I'll potentially be able to travel around Europe the summer after studying abroad. I've narrowed it down to two cities: Barcelona and Salamanca. I feel like if money and language weren't issues, Barcelona would be the clear winner. Salamanca, on the other hand, is a cheap college town not too far from Madrid with around 30,000 college students, and everyone there speaks spanish.

Is Barcelona really worth it, or will I get just as much out of going to a place like Salamanca? I want to go out 5-7 days a week for my semester there and just be an approach machine. I'm a total newbie at pick up, but I feel like 4 months of hard work will put me ahead of the game compared to the rest of the chumps out there.
