I was texting this HB8 whose number I recently got. I felt like the conversation was going pretty well for the most part but in the end I ended up without a date. Obviously something went wrong somewhere so I'm posting the entire conversation right here. Maybe you guys can point out where I messed up. I am posting each text message word for word with no editing. It's quite lengthy. Some of her texts might be hard to understand, she's kind of a sloppy texter....

To anyone who actually took the time to read all that, thank you. What do you think went wrong here? Should I just be done texting with her and move on to the next (I don't want to chase. I've done that my whole life. That's part of why I'm here) or should I give her another chance?

A lot of things went wrong. So many. The only good thing you did in all of this was use a decent sense of humour. Otherwise, here are your mistakes:

1) You put the burden on her to entertain you (that's your duty, not hers)
2) You DLVed so many times by saying things like "you're more interesting to talk to than this professor"
3) Though you used a decent sense of humour, you let the conversation get serious/boring/routine with the whole favourite music and vacation thing. Try to use humour to answer boring questions.
4) You invited her to Florida... Yikes. And you hadn't even been on a Day 2 yet? Brutally forward and needy.
5) Even with these 4 mistakes, she still showed interest in you, miraculously. What really sank you is the fact that you transferred your responsibility to set up a date to her. You asked her for any ideas for a date. That's up to you to figure out, not her. But on top of all, you should have taken her clue: "I work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is Easter." That's her basically saying no and to fuck off.

Well the florida thing was a joke, I thought she'd get that. the music and vacation thing, i was just answering her questions. what's an example of a better response? the dlv thing i see your point on. And as for putting responsibility on her to entertain me, i had been given advice previously to have the girl entertain you sometimes instead of the other way around. and finally the date part. i did that because i knew if i just kept pushing for another time i would seem needy and too available. should i have just kept going?

Besides the 5 things that Fly Swatter mentioned you don't flirt with this girl at all. The idea is to get her mind on sex and then to see you as the hot guy she wants to have sex with.

etc. Answer her questions with whatever crazy things enter your head and try to put as much innuendo in there as possible. Keep it sexual and fun and she'll set the date.
