I recently broke up with my ex, and we have stayed in touch, ive posted bout her before, and have noticed when we are face to face she keeps giving off IOI's and that, yet still says she just wants to be mates...

then the very next day more giggling more IOI's but when it comes to contact it is always me making the first move and she is really short and blunt in her text like she is replying just to be nice, we where meant to meet up yesterday and she got ill and cancelled which was fine but i got fed up of the little pointless why u even talking to me text messages to i returned the favor and cut her off today did i play it well???? need advise ?????

We hadnt arranged a time to meet so i said

Me: "U Still wanna meet tonight ? X" (i used a kiss because the last text she sent me she did but stopped this time )
Her: Currently at a mates, but chances are yes (i see this as good IOI txt)

then bout an hour before she knows i would be home from work and would normally meet:

Her: Migraine
Me: Cancel?
Her: Sleeping
Me: Sleep Well
Her: Cheers
Me: Trade chocolate and head rub for snuggles? (i no a head massage which i am very good at used to help but she didnt respond till next morning she had already fallen asleep, she woke up at like midnight but didnt respond till about 9 the next day after sleeping again )
So next morning:

Her:Thanks but i was kinda unconscious (at this point i had sorta given up after a nice night out with another girl)
Me: Yea i figured so went out n had a laugh u ok?
Her: Still not completely with it lol you? (i see this as an IOI so gave a little one back)
Me: Yea Im acting manager today suited up lol, how's your day planned out?
Her: School then Doctors (shuts down to online liners again!!!)
Me: Sounds fun, they finally diagnosed your crazy?
Her: Knew that a while ago (at this point i thought fuck u then im out )
Me: Well u still sound out of it so ill leave you to it cause im really busy cya
Her: Cya

Is she actually giving IOI's??? and why does she open up then shut down all the time !!!

and did i act right what do we think???


UPDATE: I updated my social network site which she will be able to see, to say that Im acting manager and have nothing to do loving it etc...so told her im busy but told everyone else (which she can see) saying im not busy at all .........GOOD CALL??????

If she was interested, I didn't see it. There's a very small chance that she was indeed feeling not well, but I doubt it. If she's sending mixed signal, then they aren't really mixed. I couldn't see any indicator of interested on her side. Maybe because I'm fairly new at this, but it's how I see it.
I wouldn't waste my time, and I certainly wouldn't be as concerned and eager to find out about her day as you were.
And also, heads up with the body language signals she's giving you. It's possible that you may be over interpreting.

you dont seem to know when to end the conversation. plus youre acting too needy. stop asking her if the plans are still on so much. if you make plans on sun for tues night, then tuesday afternoon just send her one text that says something like "i forgot did we say 730 or 830 tonight?" or "im gonna be like 15 minutes late tonight". this is a lot less needy and if shes gonna blow you off youll probably find out immediately and can make other plans.

also stop wrapping up all your conversations. the conversations should end when you just stop responding. instead youre texting her continuously until she stops responding. you should have stopped responding in the first conversation after she said "sleeping" and then for sure after she said "cheers". i mean, thats pretty clearly the end of the conversation. your last part about head rubs or whatever is just ridiculous. same thing with the second conversation. after she says "Knew that a while ago" thats a great place to just stop responding.

these are things you need to stop because they slightly lower your value every time you do them. every time you ask for her approval or she rejects you it just lowers the respect and attraction she has for you. she might not even be realizing it consciously, but its happening.

overall just stop chasing her so much and trying so hard with her and just find other girls instead.
