so this is an FB chat I just had with her, thought it was going grand, but it went south, SO first what did I do wrong? and secondly how do I deal with her for the rest of the semester?





ME:Yo homeskillet what was that last thing we were supposed to read? and what happened thursday? I had to take an early spring break to fulfill some extracurricular aspirations

HER:I think it was the inaugural speech of Kennedy.. But I can't remember! We just did some prewriting on Thursday and went through the inaugural address
ME:You think I should even do it?
Spring break is supposed to be like..a break, you're prolly laid back with all you're homework done huh?

HER: Well, turning it in late is better than never turning it in! Haha yeah, I'm kind of in Florida

ME:I'll read it or something. I went to disney land or world or whatever when I was a kid and freaking loved it, I also saw my first motorcycle show there! I bet your seein alot of the bikes out there enjoying the weather!

HER:I want to go to Disney world so bad! I'm in destin right now and it is absolutely gorgeous! Yes there are tons of bikes out here it's perfect weather

ME:I love this weather! (yours is prolly a bit nicer but still). what I don't understand is why people go skiing during spring break, Why would you want to go to the cold when it is finally going to be warm outside?

HER:Yeah its pretty amazing over here(: Ha! I actually almost went skiing in Colorado.. But then I decided to go to FL.. I'm so glad I did!

ME:Ironically I might actually be going there tomorrow.... but anyways since your already messaging me from your phone you should just give me your number so I can use my phone too, and then I might need you to explain this inaugural speech to me over some starbucks

HER:Nice! Haha I actually didn't read it.. Not all the way anyways

ME:hahaha! Well there goes my motivation...

HER:Yeah sorry haha

Um... Well you basically asked her out, and she basically said no.

This is not awkward at all. Well done asking her out. But I see no flirting here at all or nothing which would refer to the fact that she actually likes you more than a friend.
You are probably a friend to her which is fine. Use her. As a wing, she can introduce you to her friends etc. Once she sees that you gaming other girls she might change her attitude and start liking you more than a friend. But right now absolutely don't expect anything more. This would be my mindset if I was you.
