There are guys out there that don't know where to start, what to do or where to go. This post is going to outline the steps of where to begin.

Read "The Game" by Neil Strauss
This book will open your eyes to what is possible and will give you hope that whatever you believe in you will achieve. It will introduce you to the characters in the pua community and take you through about 2 years of the pua journey.

You need to realize that this is Neil’s journey and that yours is definitely going to be different. He took 2 years, some guys will take 1 year and others might take 4 years. It all depends on how much time and effort goes into your pickup life. The book is based on the indirect method (Mystery Method). The characters in the book went sarging almost every night; they struggled, bled and went through the torture to become who they are today.

Hang out with guys who interact daily with women. If you can't find anybody that meets your standards start out at the bottom just like Mystery. He had no coach or artist to teach him. If they can do it, so can you.

Read the "Venusian Arts Handbook"
The reason why I say you should read this book is because you need to get an understanding of how game works. It shows a step by step process of social interactions and how women work. Please note that this book is designed to attract hb9 and hb10’s and not the average woman around the corner. Be warned that you will learn is very detailed and not very natural. You will start to see things scientifically. You will also learn the famous ‘neg’ that Mystery created to attract the hottest women.

By understanding the basics of the pua game all you need is to have confidence and socialize. Please do not try to learn everything about pua game all at one time. Learn the basics first; how to open, try it out, and then learn attraction and so on.

Meetup and sarge
Meetup and go out with some of the guys that you click with. This game is played in the field and not behind your computer or on your mobile phone. You need to get some wings to go out with. Trust me it is really fun to talk about game to people with common interests.

You will find guys emailing you to sarge, you will end up sarging with some of them. The guys you sarge with are the dedicated guys. The problems with finding wings are that some just don't reply to your emails and text messages. They are unreliable. You should ignore them, they are not dedicated enough. If they really wanted to sarge they would contact you. If you really want to get good wingmen you need to post often and say what you do in the field. Guys that have the same interests as you will often reply to your posts and wing you.

Find out who you are
Figure out what your true goals and intentions are and what type of women you want in life. Now figure out what type of method you want to follow.

If you are naturally good looking, tall, well-spoken, think about going more towards the Natural methods, such as The Approach, Juggler's Charisma Arts, David Wygant, RSD etc.

If you are an engineer, accountant or an IT guy and want to know the science and structure then indirect methods will work well for you as the Venusian Arts, Mystery Method, etc.

Then there is the direct method. If you think you are god's gift to women and you should be getting laid everyday already but are not then try Badboy, Alan Roger Currie, David X, etc.

If you have absolutely zero social skills, you will need a lot of infield experience just to catch up and be NORMAL. You need to get through it. If you not going to start today you are never ever going to start.

START APPROACHING TODAY!!!

Take note that this is only a game and it takes levels to get to the final stage. I see many guys that use the above methods fall into a huge trap of getting into a relationship and not sarging anymore. They use the method once then fall into that trap, which basically means they stay out of pua or is inactive until the relationship is over.

Very interesting read Ian, can I ask for your suggestions on some reading material?

I am a decent looking guy and do get some interest from women, however I would like to develop my natural game and inner game.

From my reading I have come across the book "Models". I have read the game and while it was an interesting read which got me into PUA, I feel I would prosper more working on natural game.

Any advice you could provide would be great, thanks.

Hi Xavierrr. I can recommend you go RSD www.rsdnation.com. I have met some great guys who posts on that forum. Some is good looking, some is not. You can try David X although he is bit too direct I guess.

I'm not sure how your charismatic skills are, but you can try learning some comedy. Women love humour. That might improve or help.
