Well I myself prefer to call that number as first contact rather than text message. It's better to hear a voice than read a text, besides without tone of voice and etc. a text can be read a number of different ways. Perhaps not as you intended it originally. If she doesn't pick up I would say something like: "Hey HB, it's Muse." I'd leave a reminder of something fun the two of us connected on that night I met her and tell her I'm going to do (insert fun activity here) and that she should come along. I'd tell her to call me back and then I'd say goodbye. I don't like to dick around when it comes to the phone, I save good conversation for when we're in person so I have a much smaller chance of having a moment where I blank out and there's nothing to say.

No matter what you text, I would make sure it leads to some story with a DHV in it. In the early phases, DHV's are so important.

And please don't lose heart with text messaging or even phone calls for that matter. Sadly, some girls just do that to string guys along for the attention. Like Mystery said, a phone close is not a close. The only close is sex.
