I've been working on pick up here in Japan for a couple of months now, and even though I'm meeting and dating more girls than ever, I still suck as some basic stuff.
One being transitioning during Day Game.
I usually do indirect openers here in Japan, i.e. asking for directions / nearest mall etc. But I struggle with transitioning from the opener into a conversation. Especially when I get answers like "I don't know" or "Sorry, I'm in a rush" etc.
I've gotten several number closes approaching girls like this, but the main reason I got those was that the girls were really into me right away and went out of their way to show me the way / tell me about the best restaurants in the neighborhood etc. Number closing such girls is effortless, but it feels like... Well, cheating I guess?
It's like I won at a lottery, not actually used any game.
I want to improve my game, so that I can turn bitches into attracted girls within minutes, but I'm still stuck at transitioning while doing indirect game.

There's so much information on direct day game, but I haven't found much on indirect day game.
I'd love some tips on how to improve my transitioning as well as general indirect game tips.

Sound like you dont have alot of balls for going direct.
I suggest you go direct instead of indirect. I will share with you a good way to see what kind of opener you should use.
So here goes, think in term of time and interest.
So being direct will give you alot of interest in a very short of time. Indirect give you no interest at all and give you time.

So what you want is to see if your target have time or not to talk?
If you are stopping people on the street, go direct or at least try some random stuff then indirect.

Now your problem isnt cant transition, is the set is not hooking because your intent is fake.

Next time in field just start with, I find you are adorable because ...

As for transition here is the normal topic to talk about to do comfort, Actuality, Nationality, Work, Hobbies.
