Imagine this. You have a target (Rachel), and other guys are hitting on her. Bob, one guy in particular, is spending so much time with Rachel. While you'd like to do the same, you don't want to come off as needy or approval-seeking to Rachel. Every minute that Bob spends with Rachel is getting him closer to her. Bob is using that time to show Rachel his personality.

How do you deal with this? This is a typical scenario that happens to me all the time. There are girls that I'm interested in; however, other guys are always in the way, spending time with them and displaying their personalities to the girls. If I try and go in, I'll appear like I'm hitting on the girl and trying to directly compete with the other guy. What to do?

I had this similar situation yesterday night at the club. I just had fun with other people, and to my luck she noticed it and saw how much fun I had and wanted to join in, thats when I told her shouldn't you be talking to that other guy,in a playful way ofcourse, and she said "Nah", I kept it at that and knew enough(Confidence) and had fun with her. Key is to show you're more fun. Do this in your own way, and don't go out of you way or she'll notice your trying to much, and that means needyness.

The secret to become better is not to compete with others.. Compete with yourself instead and bring out the better person and character inside you.. So you did well not hitting on her like the others were and just enjoying yourself. But it was a mistake to tell her : " shouldn't you be talking to the other guy?".. You should act indifferent about it, and not even care whether she is talking to him or not. In situations like that I normally ignore her and talk to other girls throughout the night.. If you are being successful with other girls, she will come to you, and try to get your attention.. The best part is that when she comes to you other girls will notice this too! more and more girls are getting attracted to the aura you are spreading! What comes through the mind of the girls at that moment is " why is he with them and not me?" ..
