I got into the Game last summer and started a personal private blog through Google Blogger of my personal journey from AFC to hopeful Alpha Male.

I'm beginning a new blog right here as to signal my 'new beginning' in the community.

Not trying to make this first post all too long so I will only post a brief glimpse of my past 6 months or so within the community.

I began by reading all kinds of material because I was under the impression that I could buck the trend and read a lot of material, absorb it all, then magically spit it out every time I went out. Basically I wasn't fully respecting the process. I had too much of an ego to fail at all so I wasn't growing at all.

I moved to Tallahassee, FL in August. I felt a 'new me' emerge and finally started approaching a lot more than I had been. Yet, I was noticing that my inner game was still really weak. I wasn't straight up approaching unless there was a great situational opener to be used. I still had some decent routines which led to a lot of number closes. Only a few led to day 2's.

I was down on myself and my internship was tiring me out. I had a fuck buddy and I became comfortable with having sex with her a lot and not going out and gaming at all. I staled and became that guy who got in for a few months, read his mind off, then tried it out for a month, then backed out. I hated that.

Following the completion of my internship, I became free again. I met up with a couple of wings from the forums and they helped me out tremendously. I finally began approaching without needing any type of situational opener. I was introduced to RSD and got big into direct and natural game. Initial gains were great, as I was getting makeouts within a couple of minutes of approaching. I was hooked. Yet, after getting a makeout or two a night or two a week, I was seeing any progress. I was basically playing a true numbers game - hoping that the girl would like me after a direct approach - if she did, it hooked; if not, then I just moved on. There is nothing wrong with this, but I wanted to experience true progress.

I moved to Birmingham, AL 3 weeks ago. I met up with a couple of wings online and they have been great. One is real big into Mystery Method and it reminded me of how I began. The best part about Mystery Method is true progress.

I began Mystery Method Thursday night. I used an opinion opener and got used to opening and using routines again. I much prefer this method.

After using RSD for about a month, my inner game is so much tighter than it was when I first got into the game. Because of this, my outer game will reflect this. I really enjoy the 'natural' approach, but I couldn't ever find ways to attract using this method. I don't really care how MM is viewed nowadays within the community, I want to get great at this and I will, slowly but surely.

Thursday night 2-14

I opened a few sets using an opinion opener about my sister getting a tattoo. It opened great and all girls responses were virtually the same.

I opened a 2 set early in the night just commenting on one of the girls' shirt. I quickly did a takeaway and went back to my friend. As I was sitting with my buddy at a table, I noticed said girl walking around us. I motioned to her to come join our conversation. She easily complied and I began some routines. I ran ESP routine and it didn't work at all haha!

I also went back to using negs and trying to use negs throughout the night. This will be the biggest thing for me, as I've noticed that it creates the sexual tension from the teasing - the one thing that my natural self has troubles with.

I only opened a few sets throughout the night (5-6), but it was a great initial night. I also used an opener about wanting to run to the zoo the next day to steal a monkey. The set didn't hook (2 set) and they both didn't want to go on my adventure haha, but I believe that it opened pretty well. From here, I can ask an opinion opener and then jump into routines. They were sitting down so I could have also done a spin routine to steal one of their chairs.

Saturday 2-16

I tried using a Bucket List opener - what would you have on your bucket list? - and it didn't seem to get the responses I was looking for. I will use it in the middle of the conversation and possibly bring out my actual list as a prop.

My wing and I bounced to another bar later in the night. I found a pretty decent opener that I used on the fly and was a situational opener, but can be used anytime.

- "Hey quick question. I've noticed that all of the girlfriends in here look really bored. I've scanned the room a couple of times and noticed that all the girls holding hands with their guys look really bored. The guys are just holding their beer listening to the music not entertaining their girl at all. Have you noticed that?"
- Got a good response and even led to me asking if she had a boyfriend which felt pretty natural. She said no.
- Eventually got her number. She even asked if I took a class in being 'Rico Suave' and my buddy and my response were that we study pickup. She mentioned that she even watched the show. HA HA

Later in the night, I used a straight direct approach with a girl leaving the bathroom. It hooked immediately and I fluffed for a minute when she was clearly wanting to walk away, yet she facebook closed me (gave me her name and wanted me to look her up). I didn't think it was solid, so I returned to her area later and approached while she was at the bar. I was standing behind her while she was waiting to close her tab; I yelled out her name and told her to get me a water. She immediately turned around and was brightened by the fact that I remembered her name. I number closed since I knew looking up a semi-common name on facebook would have been very shaky.

From reading your posts you seem to have more success with being direct and natural. Not sure if I am right about that though.

I am. My inner game is pretty darn tight, even though I'm dead sober. The only issue I've had with going direct is if she doesn't seem to bite immediately, I fall into fluff mode and fail.

Whenever I use indirect, I seem to be in Mystery Method more and can use canned routines.

Perfect style for me:
-Direct
-Then opinion openers
-Mystery Method routines, etc.

(haven't field tested) but I think that negs could almost be more effective if you go in direct. That way you send mixed signals (then again not completely sure, will definitely try this soon).

Yes, definitly works for indirect.
