Its the start of the semester and I began to talk to this girl I sit behind in my English class. I missed a few classes so I thought I'd open her by asking for the notes I missed.

(Keep in mind this was my first official approach) I immediately went for went for a humor approach, and said "If I fail because of your notes I'll blame you".
She laughed and was quick to apologize for her sloppy notetaking, which was odd because her notes were very neat and organized.

Nontheless, class goes by and the conversation goes as such:

Me:I never got your name
Her:Angela
Me:Hmm I like that(although I intended to compliment her but I froze )
Her:(which was odd to me)Yeah you can borrow my notes again anytime
Me:Are they gonna be that sloppy again?! (trying to tease of course)
Her:Probably(laughs)

And that was that. Throughout the convo there was frequent smiling, and I tried to maintain eye contact. I was going for trying to display attraction outright by complimenting her, but it didnt work out that way. I'd like to think that things arent ruined already by not doing this, but is there any suggestions anyone has as to say/do next time we meet? Thanks

You're doing fine! Continue to build rapport. Hit on her lightly. Build some comfort. Get her number. Game, game, game. Just don't do oneitis, you'll seem needy. I think, however, this girl already has a crush on you. Play nicely. As long as you don't get creepy, her panties, I think, are yours.

If she has a crush on me already that's great, but I'd find it odd since we've only ever talked twice briefly. I am thinking of going the note passing route the next time we meet for class and go from there. And as for oneitis, do you mean along the lines of I should talk to other girls in the class attractive or not to seem less needy?

In regards to the one-itis - just don't seem needy. Make it seem like you interacting with her is a bit normal for you. Um, you can always do my favorite thing in class and write down a Tic-Tac-Toe game and then make the first move and hand it to her. From there, you either tie or win - just put a note saying "You might wanna work on your game, maybe next time you can win"

kind of like a neg i guess. I wouldn't do the notes thing all that often - don't be missing class for her, that will DLV saying you are lazy and or not responsible to take care of your school shit. Get priorities straight, girls aren't the only thing when it comes to school.

As said above, start up some DHV stories, do lil negs and then come back with a little compliment - play with her emotions and make her wonder. From there, I would number-close (if a test/quiz/paper) is coming up or something. Or maybe talk to her before class is over, as you are leaving, start a convo - end it by saying u gotta catch up with some buddies but we need to finish this convo later for sure - #-close. Don't message her until later at night, etc.
