To me, it sounds like she's actually quite uncertain of what you want and perhaps even insecure about whether you find her attractive. After all, she left to avoid getting stood up, she took a joke about having an awful time serious, and having her parents at her place must have been awkward for her as well. So I think more directness could be beneficial for you both. Simply say you enjoyed the date and want her to free up some time for a second one (and this time, without her parents). If she doesn't bite, you move on.

So on the 9th, I send her at 4:37pm "Awesome! My classes! Come to (my town) and ill tell ya all about it " and only 20 minutes later "Better u come here ".

Now, logically, I'm thinking 1) I've already went THERE (an hour away) and 2) My town, my place, game on. She is definitely a HB9 (and maybe a serial dater) so I don't want to appear desperate... plus, I conceded the "my place or yours" power play last time. So shortly after that I sent "Nahh no way, it's your turn young lady :p" to which she never replied.

Probably in the next couple days I'll think of something interesting to do and invite her to it. Provided I can remember the conversation enough. However, I just don't think without good reason I should go drive to her again.

Does anyone here have experience dating Russian (or other foreign) women? I know there's probably some cultural norms, like chivalry and such that may be less AFC and more of a standard.

They like direct men, and they love sex.. They love to be in control most of the times, but once they do get that they will treat you like a toy.. Some of them are amazingly crazy and fun.. Others are depressing and annoying.. From my experience, the ones that come from moscow are cool but posh.. and the ones that come from the countryside are kind of lame and annoying..

As in even verbally being straight up with your intentions? What's an example of something "indirect" you would say (to most american women) vs a direct translation?

Ahhh.. crap. Wish I'd known that before I met her. Indirect game works pretty damn well on college girls... perhaps not so well on a 29 year old Russian.

May as well update. Never heard anything since "better u come here". I'd pretty much given up on this one by now, no matter what the capacity (friend/fwb/whatever) so decided to just throw caution into the wind. I don't care how awesome she might be (in bed or otherwise) if she's too busy/flakey/not that interested etc then I wouldn't even want to be friends with her. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my current #1 (a HB7) who is local, super low maintenance, etc, but who knows. That one, it was clear she was into me from the get go and I've had her on lockdown ever since the fclose. I just got out of an EMW type relationship last year, where one day I'm king shit the next I'm completely off the radar. Her interest level during the date and days following just didn't match up. Anyways, I sent an obvious "let's fuck" text that's frankly too embarrassing to post here, but if nothing else it'd clear the air.

Ha, I guess I really should have just escalated the shit out of her when I had the chance, eh? Another hard lesson learned. This is why I'm just glad I found these forums... some guys just repeat these mistakes for years and years...

My best friend met a russian 3 weeks ago in a club here.. He talked to her for a while and asked her for her number.. He approached the one who is paying and talked to her in russian, and she told him that he took to long to talk to her and she just left.. Aye... damn Russians. Are any other ethnicities like that as well? The only Russian I really knew before, was some HB9 that was a complete nympho. And with such a terrible personality, she was the ideal "pump and dump", because she refused to slut it up without the other guy being her official boyfriend. Needless to say, I stayed away from that shit. I hear actually she's getting married now.. what a schmuck.

KimPa wish I'd gotten that advice before the original meet... for sure I could have escalated if not fclosed. My best friend, a well accomplished natural, advised to play it a little safe - but I think he may have been confusing Korean (he's a halfer) with Russian values. A bit different, apparently.
