Im wondering how to approach girls who are sitting side by side at the bar. The only way i've been doing this is by approaching to order a drink next to them and then trying to make eye contact on the side which I follow with an opener. Funny/direct for the most part. Is there ANY other way to do this or to get a girl's attention off her friend from the side?

I do this a lot.

I don't try opinion openers. I act like I am ordering a drink too. Be careful with your eye connections b/c girls tend to think guys eye motions are creepy. If one thinks you are, she will try to convince the other you are. What I try to do with my eyes is use peripheal vision and look forward with my pupils or watch a tv or watch other people there. But my eyes can see if my target keeps looking. This can work in a lot of types of scenarios.

Funny or direct openers can be ok but in my experience the best opener is something situational. I will give you some openers I have used on 2 sets sitting at the bar;

"are you watching this game?"((( if a game is playing above the bar)))
"do you know where x bar is" (in the area)
"did you see that guy a minute ago with the "x" hat or "x" clothes" (think of something fashion.)
"do you know if this place does karokee"
"are those ____ leather" ((boots, jacket, pants, w/e)

when you approach a 2 set you just have to figure out how to talk to both based on her answer to your question. A lot of times it is easier than talking to one b/c each feels comfortable she has her girl. But they know they got their girl as a way out and which ever one likes you most, it's usually her girl who tells her she can do better (b/c she is jealous). A lot of sets have one that is sexually attracted to the other and stuff

if its 2 sets than going indirect is the best.

2sets but if both of them is beautiful its okay to go direct

more than 3 sets go direct. ignore the cheerleaders (cockblocking friends)



indirect, opinion openers are weak. if you can regularly approach you know goin direct is best.
girls arent stupid. they know what is goin on.

make sure you talk to both of them when you approach. I usually ask "is this place worth staying at?"
