So I'm at the gym, and this HB8.5 is there. She looked fantastic. I continued trying to be not interested, but I noticed some things about her:

Her hair was done
She had coordinated her outfit (Hot pink top. Significant?)
she was wandering around half aimless and half shyly.

I managed to get brief eye contact with her, but she looked away, not before I flashed her a smile, and she smiled back but in a shy manner.

I eventually went up to her, on an angle, body language was good, and this is how the conversation went:

Me: So I need you to help me with something.
Her: *Questioning look**pulls out her earphones*
Me: I've been trying to come up with a reason to come and talk to you for the longest time.
Her: *Look of disbelief, taken aback slightly*
Me: *Look of mock Desparity* I'm completely stumped!
Her: *Laughs* I'm sorry, I just kind of tune out when I'm at the gym
Me: Lol Me too.
Her: I'm Haleigh. *Sticks out hand*
Me: I'm Jon. Nice to meet you. So do you go to U of T?
Her: Yeah.
Me: What for?
Her. Criminology. You go to U of T?
Me: Yeah.
Her: What for?
Me: Music.
Her: Oh cool. I've never met anyone in music before.
Me: *playfully* Oh cool. This seems kind of fortuitous eh?
Her: Lol yeah a little. Do you come here [the gym] often?
Me: Yeah every once ina while. You?
Her: yeah same.
Me: Oh nice.
*Conversation kind of dies*
Her: Well, I'm done here I'm gonna go up stairs
Me: Yeah I'm done too. Mind if I grab your number? Maybe we can work in a set sometime.
Her: Sure.
*Gets number*
Me: What are you doing later tonight?
Her: Applying for grad programs
Me: *stops. Looks at her* How old are you? (She looked kinda young.. like 1st or second year)
Her: 22.
Me: oh wow. Cool. Well, see ya.


I didn't get enough time to build any emotional connection, nor to create sexual tension. Is there any point to texting this girl? How should I do it?

I was thinking about texting her saying, "Make sure you save this number, because it's the best number you'll have in your phone "

and if she says who's this, I'll say, "oh let's make this fun! you can ask me three questions and only three questions"

Could come off as creepy. But this has never really happened to me before. Thoughts? Advice?

I would text her. You've got nothing to lose by texting her. Send her a short simple text and focus on getting her out in person on a date with you. Texting should only be used to set up dates.
