Hi there! Hope the New Year is good for you!

I have been taking an interest in Pick Up for years - ever since I randomly found a copy of The Layguide in the self-help section of a bookshop and then found The Game a few weeks later. However I never really felt like I could put it into action. Having listened to a few interviews I think that a lot of guys have to hit absolute & complete rock bottom before they can change and I hadn't hit that yet. I was in a unfun, but comfortable "grey place".

I now have had the absolute worst 18 months of my life. No one actually died but every area of my life had at least one really big problem and there was no escape from one area to another. Insanely stressful. I have had made some serious changes to life in order to get things back on track and I have now found myself in a place where I can make the changes to life and mindset that will take me to be a PUA. I am taking tough decisions elsewhere in life so now is the time. Definitely don't want to be an AFC any more and am prepared to handle the hurt and rejection required.

I find the techniques of Neil Strauss and David De Angelo preferrable but at the moment I'm finding I'm becoming more mentally PUA by following more method based ideas.

I'm 36 and currenly located in Cambridge in the UK, so if there's anyone who is in the same area let me know & we can meet up to talk and sarge. In terms of hobbies and passions I sing and play guitar - Used to be good, but haven't practiced for a while due to sorting out the aforementioned life challenges, go to the gym, which I have managed to hold on to doing, catching films, reading all kinds of books, a bit of writing and going out for nights out, pubbing and clubbing.

My life goals are:

Love life: In the long term meet someone I can spend the rest of my life with who is both caring but not a pushover who will keep me challenged a bit and travel more with them. In the short term I'd just like to have more fun, party and get laid more! It would be fun to have some MLTRs going. To get laid at least once through my own efforts rather than chance in the next month as a starting point.

Work: To move to a career that is result, rather than "time put in" based, that I feel is fun and "flow-like" and enable me to have the time and money to really enjoy life outside of work.

Location: Live somewhere fun but peaceful and stress free. To own my own place and furnish it the way I like.

Finances: Am prepared to live with a bit of debit, for say a mortgage or a new car but overall to always have more money than I need to spend so I never, ever have to think about "the end of the month" and be able to make the occasional weekend escape to somewhere in the UK or Europe without worrying about it.

Car: to have a car that is both fun and reliable - At the moment my car is only the former!

Hobbies: Form a band for fun & sing & play guitar. Write some sort of fun thriller novel. To learn to ski & scuba.

Health: I want to wake up fresh every morning and that my last years are still adventurous and not plagued by ill heath. No lying in bed, ill, looking at dying flowers in a retirement home for me.

Let's get started! :D
