I'm going out with my buddy next week, he's newly single and just got out of a year long relationship. It was his first girlfriend ever and he only got her by freak luck. I went out with him last weak and was shocked to see the state my friend was in. He's usually confident in a bar (because he was always with his girlfriend) but now he's nervous, awkward and just sounds downright dumb. I want to do him a favor and help him out on Monday night, But how the hell do I wing?

In the past I have tried and failed. Usually my attempts were just grabbing a friend, grabbing a girl and smooshing them together like a barbie and a G.I Joe. Needless to say that didn't work, It ended up just embarrassing the friend (I swear that was only like 75% of the reason why I did it).

But on Monday I genuinely want to be a good wing man and I want to get my friend a new girl. I will also be on the pull and I want to know if there is anyway to get a girl (the girl's friends) by winging.

Try gettin him involved in some groups or something because he might be suffering from some one-itis after the breakup. He should get back to normal after he gets laid again haha. Other than that when winging your primary job is to get the attention of the rest of the obstacles so your friend can move in in the target. Other than that just get him out in the clubs again because like I said he might just be a little out of it or maybe even rusty if he was in a relationship for that long. If that doesn't work you might want to just bring him in to the community

Friend yourself into a set, introduce the set to your bro, discreetly talk him up, let him pick who he wants.

There are a bunch of technical things and routines MM and RSD will tell you but just don't think about it. Just befriend a group of girls, get your buddy into it, tell some kickass funny sarcastic story about your friend being a badass, and then discreetly freeze out his target. She'll look for confirmation and your friend will come in.

Both good advice above, another method I use is to redirect any lifestyle/attraction questions onto my mate. For example:

Her: OMG I'm so into arts, I love films hehehehehe blahdeblah
Me: Oh man I wouldn't know much that kind of thing, <mates name> is amazing with film tho.

This is good practice for him as well as it forces him to think on his feet even if he hates the subject at hand.
