so I have a problem. I have a fucked up shaped skull, it has a lump on the back that everyone notices and i usually get "you were dropped on your head as a child weren't ya?"

now because of my job(USMC) i can't have enough hair to cover it.


what would you recommend i do? what are good comebacks for when people bring it up? i.e. last night joking with a friend she said "well you have a lumpy head" and all i had to say was "....ok"


usually i just keep my hood up when im out in public but its not cutting it, it makes me seem like im cutting off the world much like hands in pockets.


any ideas would help

Reply, "Oh, That's simply the portion of my brain that makes me so much more smarter than you." (jokingly of course) and then tell her if she plays her cards right, you'll let her touch it. Or if you'd prefer to be less harsh about it, just state that it's the portion of genius that doesn't quite fit in your skull.

Is it from a medical condition or a surgery, or just the way your head is shaped.

If its just the shape go with a cockey funny response like Fact posted.

If its from some kind of surgery, a medical condition, etc...think of a DHV story related to it. You beat cancer, tell them...Needed surgery to keep you from having sceisures, tell them...Have some kinda calcium thing going, erm maybe come up with a story that relates to it but not as directly.

Relay some kind of response that demonstrates that its part of you, your not ashamed of it, and that it actually shows your a strong person.

As for inner game work on really not minding it, DONT wear a hood to hide it, its part of you...the added comments you'll get from not wearing the hood will help you practise countering them.
