I have a date with a HB this week. I've known her for a while and throughout this time I've always acted like I didn't particularly care for her. Kept it cool, only focused on myself you know?

Well yesterday a good friend of mine got drunk and she accidentally told this HB that I'm really into her. The HB's reaction to this was a smile if that means anything; that's what I was told anyway.

Through the PUA community I've learned that a girl shouldn't know that you're into her (correct me if I'm wrong). Unfortunately, this HB now knows how I feel, despite my cold, uncaring façade.

Are there any countermeasures I can take to reduce the damage for the date or is it something I shouldn't worry about?

Well, you might be inclined to be cold, distant, and an asshole to her. To try and "reverse" what she thinks about you. But that might backfire on you for a couple reasons. She might simply be put off by it. Or she might find it contradictory to what she thought about you and think that maybe you changed your mind about her.

What I would do is be very aloof, which is something you probably should be doing anyway. I'd be nice and friendly, even flirtacious, but I would't compliment her on her appearance or tell her how much you like her. I wouldn't talk about seeing her again or anything long term. No needy or clingy behavior. That type of attitude women will generally be attracted to anyways, and while she might expect you to be a little more forward with her since you like her, it'll make her curious about you and maybe even seek your approval/attention/validation that much more.

No doubt she was pleased with this, because she may have been seeking your validation/approval.

But nothing's lost -- far from it. You should continue putting on your stone cold act. If she ever asks how you feel about her, don't ever tell her -- just say something like "you're cool to hang out with." This will keep her guessing.

When the community says a girl should never know you're into her, it's not so much her knowing you're into her -- it's your BEHAVIOUR. And so far, your behaviour is perfect. Keep it up.

They know it just unsaid usually. Girls know why your hanging out with them and spending time with them. Its just that no one can flat out say hey I like you and you like me. If a girl acts like "What?" That's just a shit test. Its fun to call them out on it and be like "yeah you want to kiss me." "You should now's a great time too," That's part of the game is to have them chase you while you moving the pieces of the board around them. Make them think its them that has the power as you seduce them.

Just make sure to neg her a little bit more when you are on your day 2 to keep her guessing, something like "Hey did you go to the landfill today, kinda smells like garbage in here" is one of my favourites and will probably do the trick
