Quick question about a girl at Uni. Have been flirting a fair bit and interest seemed high, so much so that at lunch a few weeks ago when I wasnt there when the girl asked "where is (me)" one of the other girls quizzed her on it saying "you fancy him".

She replied she didn't and I wasn't her type, and apparently went bright red though the person who told me this isn't sure if that's just because a large table of people were looking at her or whatever.

My question is, how likely is it that she said this just to save face or is it a definite indicator she's not interested and should I move on?

I've had some girls tell me "You're not my type" face to face, and later some of them ended in my bed. And I don't find this a speciality of mine, it's pretty common. Don't take these stupid things women say seriously. At that moment she might have told it because she does like you, and she doesn't want her friends to get involved. When they tell it to you face-to-face, most of the time it's just a stupid test to see how strong your frame is. I'd call a big pile of BS on this, and keep on going, and see if it can actually go somewhere. Again... better take for granted what she does, and how she reciprocates, rather than what she tells her friends.

thanks, dunno how to play it though now she's said it in front of the rest of the girls. If I keep flirting with her (she is just as incredibly flirty btw, brings me presents, tickling etc) in front of those girls do I lose value because it looks like Im into her? Or even if I should do a mini freeze out. There a party coming up shortly and I said I'd be in town early and she suggested meeting for a drink beforehand (to me, none of the other class), why even do this if im not her type.
