I like this forum a lot. I am still AFC but learn fast.
I was solo sarging bars/clubs this night totally sober. It was a challenge and I liked it. I started opening easy sets (guys and staff first) to overcome AA and get me in the zone.
Then i moved to girls only. I don't have any opening lines because I feel they are not natural. I just come near the set wait for few seconds and when they notice me I say "Hi, how are you?", "enjoying the night?", etc.
What happens next is ignore, so I have to repeat the question. Then they answer the shortest answer "fine" and ignore again. I have to ask few more standard questions like "how was your day", "do you come here often", sometimes I add something from myself "I like/dislike this place because...", etc.
Now they give me more attention. I can see their mood and how they react to me. They also give me more information so the conversations becomes more interesting.
Some sets openly show their unwillingness to talk to me from start and stay that way - I leave them. Others become more interested we start flirting, negging, smiling, laughing.
EXAMPLE - set of 5 (3 HB6, 1 HB8, 1 HB9):
I come to the bar, put my coat, see the set and few guys near them. I come near the set, stand for 5-10 sec watching the TV and say "Hello" so they hear me - all I get is IGNORE.
me: "Hello, how is it going?"
HB8: "Fine"
me: "So you like your weekends?"
HB6: "Yeah"
HB8 to her friend: "Lol, who does like weekdays?" (with a thought that my Q was stupid)
me: "well, I dont care which day it is"
HB8: "Good for you"
me: "you know I do whatever I want to do whenever I want it to"
HB8: "Good for you"
me: "Do you know any other words?"
HB8: "You are insulting me?"
me: "No, I am joking, you are cool"
HB8 was dominating the set so after the neg I was somewhat accepted. I ignored other two HB6 and kept entertaining HB8, HB9 and HB6. HB9 was very distant, did not say a word to me, did not even answer "whats your name" (i asked only her), but I didnt care I was having fun with HB8 and HB6. HB8 was answering for HB9, she said some shit like "we love each other, we live together, we sleep together", which IMHO is a low quality joke. HB6 was giving me tons of IOI obviously, but i didn't want to close her because of 6 rating. HB8 also told HB6 something like "yeah just grab him, you will be a good couple", i thought "who you think you are, giving approvals to this and that..."
After 10-15 mins I just left saying nothing (made a pull), but never came back to that bar again.
The funny thing I noticed that guys who were standing near the 5 set just went away after I approached. Although, they were better dressed and more good looking. They just did not approach and lost.
Anyway, last questions:
- How do you get your value back for other sets when your initial approach went wrong without changing place?
- Those female dominants of a group. They are soooo funny and annoying. How do you deal with them?
- What could I do to get HB9 more interested?
