Hi after me and my girl broke up I decided to start the picking up girls again. I did it on campus, book stores, bars. Most time yea I get their numbers. I got well over a dozens numbers since then. But IDK it seems like im not even improving. Like sometimes I cheat I only talk to the girl if i think i have a shot. I would go indirect most of the time. And I never just go direct besides at a bar. Have any of you guys ever gone up to a girl and be like hi kinda random but i thought u were cute so i decided to come say hi.. if so does that work? Naturally im a shy guy but certain days i do pretty well. I gotten 6 numbers one night. but most time i see that just cause a girl give u their number doesnt mean she will hang out with u or call u back. so all of the 6 numbers i got one night im only talking to 2. how can i step my game up and get out of the shell. I read the game. thats what got me started. any more books? or tips

If you can't think of anything to say or improvise with, a direct "Hey, you know, I think you're adorable. I had to come talk to you" tends to work very well. Worst case scenario is that you made her day. Best case scenario is that you get her number and then some.

Otherwise, pay attention to your surroundings and see if you can open up with something that will really catch her interest or make her laugh. There's never a really good, mechanical "go-to" line that will work every time.

Practice makes perfect. If you feel like you aren't progressing, step it up and leave your comfort zone moreso than before.
