So it's my first semester of college and I'm pretty bummed with my lack of action. I've had one hook up so far and I didn't even make it past first second base. I'm about to go crazy.

I can't afford to pledge to a fraternity like I had planned this year, which is a big hit on social value in my school. I'm not trying to sound concieted but I'm a pretty good-looking dude (been told I could model for Hollister) and I'm pretty sure I could pull any chick I wanted if my inner game and social life were up to par. I'm aware that these are things I need to take steps to change.. but that's another topic.

Any way, there's a girl across the hall who seems pretty into me. She's fairly cute (possibly a 7) but I haven't really considered her due to the close proximity and the fact that she's not really my type. She's more of the artsy/philosophical type whereas I'm more into the ditzy/preppy type. (ditzy probably isn't the right world but I'm too lazy to think of another adjective right now).

My first hook up lives on the floor above me and it was painfully awkward the next few times I saw her because I'm really not into her and our actions were mostly due to alcohol on my part. Things have smoothed over now but I really don't wanna go through that again. I'll see this chick pretty much every day for the rest of the year.

What would you guys do? I'm bout to just say fuck it and go for it so if it's a bad idea hurry up and talk me out of it..

Of course it's a good idea. Look at it as an opportunity to gain more experience. I see nothing wrong with the situation you just described.

Also, on the topic of awkwardness after hooking up: it's only as awkward as you make it. If you have no intentions of pursuing a woman after a hookup, just treat her like you would any other female friend. She'll be happy for that.
