There was a point in the past where I was borderline on losing a few (rather close) friends, because I became very interested in the PUA scene. Part is based on them not understanding your point of view, but there are a couple of things you should be careful with.

1) It's pretty common for people in the PUA scene to define a person purely based on the amount of girls he can take home / his ability to pick up women. Keep in mind this is not the only factor that defines a person. Don't start to act condescending towards people who are not as good in picking up girls as you are. This especially goes for people who used to suck at picking up girls and suddenly surpass their friend's level. If your friends don't want to pick up girls all the time, it's their own choice. Remember, you probably were at their level as well. Maybe they're scared? Maybe they don't want to? But none of the above are reasons to end a friendship.

2) Although it's kind of hard to believe for most of you, not everybody goes out purely to pick up women. If you go out with a group of friends and you are suddenly leaving them because you picked up a girl and your friends get annoyed at you afterwards, it does not necessarily mean they are jealous of you. Maybe they just want to have a good time as a group and get tired if you are always leaving 10 minutes after you entered a club with them. I am speaking from my own experience here - and some of my friends got annoyed at me for consistently leaving them alone the second I picked up a girl. First I associated this with them being jealous, but perhaps they don't merely go out to pick up a girl? This does not mean you should think less of them or end your friendship, just either adept a bit to the group or do other things with these friends than going out. A combination of both helped me a lot.

And last of all (and this has been mentioned already), just don't tell people who are not familiar with PUA.

I have told 70% of my friends, my girlfriend, my parents and some of my classmates, and am openly studying PUA as part of my degree, i have only ever had 2 bad reactions from it, and they were from two virgins that "Do not think this kind of practice is normal" and "would never stoop so low" their loss.

The girls seem interested and even comment "so thats why you good with people", its girls who say this btw

Its all about framing it, say it with enthusiasum and put enfasis on the light hearted nature in which it allows some of the more shy people to talk to nice girls, and build up some courage.

Obviously I meant in real life.
