Hey guys, I need help with a situation that happened today.
There is this really good looking girl at my school and I really wanted to talk to her. I’ve wanted to get to know her for about a year but I've never really had the chance to talk to her (even when I did, my emotions would get the best of me). Today I thought that I should just pick my balls up and go talk to her. So, here is the scenario. She was showing me 1 IOI which I learned from a video from Mystery. She kept playing with her hair (which I think was a IOI). I think it went really bad especially since I was so nervous I was shaking.

SCENARIO:

(My friend is sitting next to me on my left and on his left is a mutual friend (acquaintance). On my right there is an empty seat/table and the second seat from my right is the HB. There is also a mechanics book on the unused table.
NOTE: The HB and my friend also know each other. )

Me: (picks up book to look at it)
Me: (turns to friend) Hey man, is this your book?
Friend: Nah
Me: (turns to HB) Hey, is this your book?
HB: No.

Me: Well, my friend keeps telling me about you.
HB: (turns to my friend) What ?????? (They speak a different language)

(Friend + acquaintance start to laugh at me)
-At this moment, my routine just got messed up; I was going to DHV then a magic trick and then have a conversation-
(5 seconds later)
Me: Hey HB, want to see a magic trick.
HB: Yeah.
Me : Ok, I’ll show you 2 really cool tricks, pick a number between 1 and 2.
HB: A number between 1 and 2?
Me: Hahahaha (we both laugh), my bad. Choose number 1 or 2.
HB: #2
Me: Ok, Ill do the second trick then the first.
- I do both tricks, but as I’m doing the second, this happens:-
Me: Ok, now pick a suit.
HB: The one that looks like this (draws as club)
Me: To be honest, that looks like someone doing the middle finger. I can see you have an artistic side.
HB: Hahah
-I finish magic trick-
Me: I can also draw, here, let me draw you,
HB: Ok,
Me: (I read this on this forum) – draws a stick figure, with arrows pointing to her head, body and eyes and I say “nice eyes”, “nice clothes” and “nice hair”. Then bellow it, I write semi cute girl from the library – from Buxx –
LIBRARIAN: EXCUSE ME, COULD YOU PLEASE COME HERE!
-This librarian messes up my routine the 2nd time, I was going to say “I mean, you’re cute but that great”-
-I go to the librarian, etc-
-I return (acquaintance starts to shout at me “why did you write cute dude, do you like her”… I couldn’t shut him up)
Me: Did you like the picture?
HB: Yeah
Me: Just something to remind you of me. I reckon I’m a good artist. I’m even applying for university to do art next year. Hopefully I get in.
HB: Hahah

(10 seconds awkward silence as I turn and talk to my friend)

Me: So, you’re in my class just for Maths?
HB: Yes
Me: You look confused; do you even know my name?
HB: No
Me: Look at the drawing
HB: - Looks at it -
HB: Buxx?
Me: Yeah, well my name is BuxxBunny but my nickname is Buxx.
HB: Ok, cool
Me: Do you have a nickname?
HB: Yeah, “H”
Me: Ok, nice to meet you –shakes hand-

AT THE END-
She leaves and says goodbye to her friend (they guy who’s sitting to my left). As they talk, I lean back and look at her. At the end she says ‘Bye’ to me in a very soft voice.
Me: Bye, do you still have my picture yeah?
HB: Yeah.
Me: Ok take care of it. Bye

Sounds like your accumulating a nice collection of entertaining material, unfortunately none of it is really demonstrating that you have any value to her other then a funny guy with tricks. Its better then nothing, but not by much.

I see where you're coming from, I've read that you should always act as if they are the ones who are taking up your time and not the other way.
To be honest, I don't know if I could have done that. If I let the conversation go, she wouldn't pick it up and I felt like I messed up. There were moments of silence where nothing happened and it was so awkward I felt like I needed to say something. I felt like she wouldn't talk to me again so that's why I wanted to keep talking to her.

You were being fun but not challenging. You are now the guy with tricks. Where is the teasing? Where is the qualification? Stop readily giving attention like that, make the other person invest in the interaction.

Actually I did tease her a little bit on her bad drawing of the club. But that was it. So I guess I should work on my negs more and making her more interested.

Could you share a technique that YOU use to make a girl invest in interaction with you? I don't mind how simple it is, I just need to see an example.
