duuuude not cool. she's married, that's like the one thing that should be respected..
Personally that would be too far. I think vicparkguy83 is wrong:
(1) There are too many other fish in the sea. (2) I've seen one too many "crimes of passion" on the news where a dude comes home to find his wife cheating on him with someone else and kills them both - I wouldn't want you to end up as another.
respect marriage if nothing else
you say vicparkguy83 is wrong, i respect your opinion. the other fish in the sea and the crime of passion is bullshit.
You make it sound as if there cant be any passion if there is no marriage. Crimes of passion happen outside of marriage as well. The true obstacle is the fact that 'marriage' is not respected, from a religious point of view or another. Crimes of passion have nothing to do with this, face it.
Marriage is sacred to you, i respect that. No problem at all. But it is as it is: Marriage is a bond between two people (be it religious or not) and it is those people alone who are responsible for the bond they chose to make. Somebody who is not married, like our friend mac_ky here, has no message nor any responsibility in it. You are trying to push your ideology into the decision of somebody who perhaps does not share this ideology.
Suppose me and a muslim share lunch together. I am the one who is cooking. I like eating porc, so i prepare a meal with porc as a side dish. I am not going to leave the porc dish out because he will not eat it. He is responsible for eating it or not, its his decision. But i do make sure he is not obligated to eat the porc. That is called respect.
The same applies here. Mac_ky is not married. The woman is. it is her responsibility , so if you want to push ideology, push it upon the woman. If mac_key is rejected, i am sure he will respect her choice.
