I was wondering your opinion on this..

If I understand correctly, the Mystery Method is supposed to hit certain evolutionary switches in a woman to make her attracted to you..

Ex: Protector of loved ones, Demonstration of Higher value, leader of tribes.. ect..


Well.. If this is true, then (Unless women have evolved) why is it so looked down upon/ outdated?

Im not trying to start an argument on here.. Im just trying get some opinions on here

Novel methods have proved to work better for some people.

Keep in mind that Mystery Method works really well for 6' 5" magicians who wear combat boots and snowboarding goggles in nightclubs. But other guys have found better methods which cater to their unique characteristics.

The evolutionary switches are still there and in some form or another are present in every PUA system there is.

Consider this: Men are genetically programmed by evolutionary switches to find beautiful women attractive as they provide the best genes for their descendents. Those that found such women with beauty and symetrical features (and hence strong immune systems) had more children survive to propogate the prediliction to their off spring and thus the gene becone dominant in the male population.

generally the MM is just a guide to how to project a higher level of social status,

it is somewhat complicated and often guys misconstrue the concepts in the method and accentuate the parts they like, and avoid the parts they are uncomfortable with, leading them to execute the game plan poorly

these ''attraction switches'' are for ''social attraction'' not necessarily ''sexual attraction'', framing yourself as a cool guy with an interesting life gets people interested in you and wanting to spend time with you since there is value in it for associating with you (hang out with cool people, be cool via association), it is essentially a guide to get people to ''like'' you in a social sense, but unfortunately since a lot of guys have a misconception about the ideas they tend to come off weird, incongruent and start seeking reactions and approval by over negging or dhving for 10 years and never escalating or showing interest

this can lead to a lot of failures and the method has received a lot of criticism due to this since some other methods tend to more congruently fit a lot of guys personalities better

your game is not the big picture here, it is part of the big picture, and women are attracted to the big picture, guys look for healthy girls and that takes priority, girls look for guys with high status,

your status in relation to other men is based primarily on, your own health (your looks), your access to resources (your personal wealth), and your access to security (social status)

MM is just a way to ''frame'' or ''project'' the concept that you have a high social status (aka access to security), you do this via social proofing yourself, displaying an ability to challenge people and lead without fear, and framing yourself through story telling as a social leader who leads a life full of people and you take care of those people and are respected

This also can turn into a nature vs. nurture debate, because most women are going to behave in the way society conditions them when it comes to interactions with men, and not necessarily the way their genes are wired.

There is a subset of evolutionary psychology called modularity of the mind, which without getting too technical just means that the human brain is capable of evolving and utilizing other functions that aren't necessarily pre-determined by genetics. Therefore an individual can be influenced by events within their lifetime, independent of innate behaviors and tendencies acquired through genetics.
