Here's my hypothesis from the hot girls perspective:
He's making everybody laugh and being friendly to everybody...He's talking with everybody but me : why? -> intrigued -> Seeks contact with me

Here's what I did, I'm in this class with 10 other people and we practice psychologist skills doing psych-client roleplaying exercises.
The class is once a week for 4 full hours, so you have plenty of opportunities to talk to everybody. I talk to everybody in the group including the teacher, but I ignore this one girl, a hot girl (she has a bit of a bitchy attitude) As sort of an experiment to see what would happen. I talk to her friends in the class as well, I crack jokes with her friends and make sure she sees me talking to them. But I completely ignore her, haven't said a word to her since day 1.

So this morning, I was riding my bike from the train station to school and she's waiting for a friend at CS, mumbles something like hi as I ride by her. I do nothing, pretend I didn't notice her. Ok.Topus. So I get to school, walk in the school cafeteria, it was nearly empty and somehow she's already sitting there by herself (which is strange, she must have biked like hell to get there before me but whatever).

I see her look up as I walk into the cafeteria, I take an empty seat from a table a few meters in front of her. So like 5 minutes later she walks to my table says: How come you are always so early? Anyway, she wanted me to fill in a questionnaire or something later tongue the rest of the class filled them in in the class so that didn't make much sense. She started talking about school stuff to me and proceeded to sit next to me in class, we talked for a bit.

I'd say this experiment yielded some significant results and I will try to duplicate my results in the future.

By the way, does that work if you talk to everybody in the class and all of a sudden you start to not acknowledge one of the girls' presence or would that come of as too weird?

At one point you're gonna have to show your intent. Maybe something subtle like invite her out, and then more overt like actually telling her she's cute behind the outer bitchy layer she has to put on to defend herself against society. Know that.

I didn't escalate or make a move, one of her friends walked in the cafeteria and joined us before I had the chance. Slight interference with the experiment, but the results should not differ none the less
