Hello Everyone,

I've been working on this area of my life very consistently for about the past month of my life. I went from never having done a cold approach, to doing 20ish per weekend (if not more), scattered through nightclubs/bars and shopping malls during the day. As well as, the occasional 1-2 here throughout my day during the week.

I am generally becoming better, more sociable, and having a stronger frame as a person. I am Deeply committed to mastering this part of my life. Not only pickup, but generally just becoming a 'stand up' guy, w/ a strong identity, so that I don't feel so lost and alone in this world anymore.

My QUESTION: Where do I start? Is there a General Outline, of how to go about this? I bounce between youtube videos from this Instructor, and that instructor, to an Ebook here or there, to maybe reading some self help books. But, I have no 'Outline' for how to go about this. I know we are all different, w/ different goals and areas of strength/weakness, but does anyone have advice on what helped them starting out?

Even just links to other 'posts' or 'videos' on this topic would be helpful. It's like trying to learn Algebra, and just being given an equation here or there, w/out tying them in all together, or going in order. And just trying to piece it together and figure it out as you go.

Here is a good way to start IMO.

1. Pick a outer game instructor that has a style you would have fun trying to learn instead of bouncing around and picking random instructor. Reason, you would have fun, and is less information. Way too much information is bad.

2. Good a good inner game instruction. My suggestion would be RSD guys, they have a video call BluePrint which is really soild and is the only one I really followed. So, you would have 2 sources, inner and outer.

3. If you live in a Area that has a PUA lair, join them and go sarge with them. They generally have guys that are really good and will help you out. I know Southern Cali has a really good one. Also, they have meeting where you can discuss issues and sticking points you have. Also, going sarging with guys that are better then you will speed up your success. But be careful, the end reason should be to make cool group of friends you can sarge with instead of going out with bunch of randoms all the time.

Now as far as sarging goes, you have to break down your game and only do little at a time. For example:

1. Open until you get comfortable with it. Even if is 20 sets a night.

2. After step 1, you goal should be to stay in the set long as possible. During step two, you will be opening less sets.

3. Work on getting number closes.

4. Learn how to text women, and try to get dates out of them.

5. Start going for pulls when doing night game.

6. Start working on a solid social circle where you can bring girls to. This social circle should also include other women that are just your friends.

^^^^ All this alone, is not a quick process, it will take a couple of years. So if your not dedicated, your not gonna go no where. Key thing is, have fun with all of this. And be prepare to screw up a lot, make an ass out of yourself and get rejected like no tomorrow. If you don't let this fuck you over, you will come out as a better person. Also, you will naturally have the skills to game women.

I've been working on a couple of the things you said. I've posted on here trying to find more people in Charlotte, NC (where I live). And, through another site, I have met 2-3 dudes that I consistently started going out w/. Unfortunately, we are all rather noobs, so I am trying to find some people locally that are further along.

"Way too much information is bad"- I can definitely see that. I have been sitting here clicking, and clicking, and reading, and trying to find where to go next. And I'm just having all of these books/instructors/material thrown at me, and I feel like I am going backwards. So for now, I think I'm going to stick w/ 2 main instructors I have gone w/: Simple Pickup, and MM and Audio Brain Transplant. They are completely clashing philosophies, but I honestly think that helps balance it out. Having a 'natural way', while still having some routines and stuff to work in there.

At first it was approaching, then it was numbers. Last weekend I planned on working on Kino, however, I kind of had one good night, and one bad one. So, I'm just going to keep 'plowing' and working on sticking points as I find them. Some nights are easier than others.

I know this is a long process, I am definitely committed, and I have already failed a lot, but I also feel like I have a had a lot of accomplishments. It's really crazy. For now, I'm going to try to stop 'clicking around' so much, and just focus on the two instructors/programs I already have.

I REALLY need a solid Inner Game piece, that is like what I want the most out of all this. I looked into the Blueprint, but I am way too broke to afford anything like that. But I think I will start trying to watch some Youtube videos on it tonight. So thanks for the suggestion.

As for the Inner Game part, I would recommend "Inner Game Installed" by Richard La Ruina (Gambler). Not sure if you're still able to purchase it though

And what I did when I started learning game, is pretty much what you've done now, and also what defines my game. I've read up on A LOT of game, what I do, is that I take what I like, and what comes naturally to me from each tactic, and I mostly make my own way by combining a lot of different techniques. Frankly, I would say that this is the best way, because you don't have to CHANGE yourself, you just become the best possible version of the original you.

As far as failing goes, you have to accept it and learn from it instead of crying over it. I have taken girls on dates that I would have love if they became my girlfriend and failed with them. I failed with the first girl I gotten into bed room, that's how far failure will go. Important thing is learn from it.

As Tyler puts it in RSD bluePrint. LEarning pick up is not a straight forward process from point a to point b. Between those points, your gonna face lots of challenges. Your even gonna go backwards, but your goal should be to reach point b and finish.

I should add, I don't game no more. But when I did, even after over 2 years, I would have bad nights. Don't worry about having bad nights, is gonna happen. Just don't let it ruin your night.

Yea, I hear ya on just using this and that, or whatever seems to fit your personality the best. Because, in the end, the goal is to become the very best version of me inside and out (inner game, and routines etc.). If I become the best version of me, then I will be happy w/ myself, and naturally attract the women I want.

The hard part I have is following 'canned' material. Most of the time I go 'direct' and just kind of 'wing it'. What I am finding, is it works really well sometimes, especially if the girl and I just vibe. But, if we don't 'naturally' vibe, I feel really lost sometimes. So, I think I am just going to have to work on routines, and threads, and all that really 'game' type stuff, at least until I have a better understanding and more confidence.

Then, I can 'wing it' more. I want to be successful, but w/out becoming a social robot.

I realize people may no longer be following this thread, but I think I needed to type this all out to clarify my goals for myself w/ this new adventure.

Completely agree wit the too much info thing, do a bit of research, find something that appeals to you, and stick with it rather than confusing yourself with a load of other stuff.
Also very much believe inner game is key, and the rest will follow (though I'm sure the other way round can work too). +1 for Gambler's Inner Game Installed.

Hey, what is your experience w/ that program? I'm thinking about saving up to buy it because.... I bought his stealth seduction and got a free copy of "Approaching Confidence", and all I know is I don't even think when I want to approach a girl anymore...

I always used to be pretty fearless when I was in state, but the exact opposite when I was out of state. Now, even if I am only bringing my C or B game, I still approach like automatically. I love what it has done for me, and am curious about getting hypnotized for more aspects than just approaching.

I love that. I am at the same point myself. My regular sarging buddy is sooo hung up on Mystery Method, it is like he refutes anything else I say that doesn't go along w/ that.

I have just been reading free ebooks left and right, and watching every youtube video from every 'guru' that is out there. I went from Simple Pickup, to Mystery Method (cause my buddy), to Gambler, to RSD, and every other resource out there I can find. Scanning forums for really well thought out posts by users who seem to know what they are talking about.

And, it is like I pick up a certain technique, or a certain 'mind-shift' in my way of thinking from almost everyone. I have only been at this for 3 months, but have been consistent and really come sooo far... I am to the point now, where I take every 'guru' or advice w/ a 'grain of salt'. And, instead of just saying 'Ok do that', I now analyze if that fits w/ my own personal style that has seemed to develop.

I am by no means a master, but I do feel like I have a unique style that has come about. And, it really is thanks to everyone out there, and all the material out there. I honestly don't know why I am typing here right now...maybe it is just a way of 'journaling' for me to whomever wants to read it.

But, I got my first kiss close last Friday night 'at the actual bar' from a cold approach. An HB8 (stealth seduction is my shit btw-it's so me, and I love microescalating and teasing the girls).
Saturday night I got my first 'insta-date' or bounces, w/ an HB8 and HB7. I set everything up, opened, number closed, and texted and had them meet us up at another venue later in the night. But, I actually gave over the HB8 to my wingman because they just had more of a connection (and I am in abundance mindset now and don't care)
I also number closed my first 10. It wasn't the best, but I have been sarging for 3 months now, every night, every weekend, and this girl blew me away.

I don't know where I am going w/ this post, it is late, and I am tired. But man, I just want to thank the community for completely "Warping" my mind in what is possible in life... Not only the woman, in myself, and my views on society now too (RSD Blueprint). I just see the world differently, I see possibilities, and I have finally gotten through all the 'bullshit' of pickup, and gotten to a place where I am really excited at my new skills and what lays before me.

I love it man its good that your out there trying to improve this area of your life because it dose take courage. I've been hittin this hard for the last three mounts too, when you start doing at lot of approaches you do then start to see improvements. One really good tip i've used that has dramatically increased my game is stop trying to not fuck up the set and always go for the three closes no matter what, when i say three closes i mean, 1.Go for the number, 2. go for the make out 3. Then try and take her home. When i first started going out doing this i was tryingg to not fuck up so when things were going well, so there's some attraction and the convo is good i would just get her number and walk away. NO bad idea, see it through to the bitter fucking end don't try and win her over your already an attractive guy, I have had it loads of times where the set wasn't actually going that well but i got the girl from just hanging on in there till the end and i had it loads of times where the set is going really well but i didn't get the girl because i was the one that didn't take things further because i was scared of fucking it up.
