Its not looks. Even if they are insecure about looks that's just on the surface linked to a deeper fear. Ie: they're insecure about looks BECAUSE they're afraid if they were uglier people will think less of them. And so forth.
I would say her social standing and the approval of her close circle (friends & family).
I agree. A girl can be (or think she is) insecure about her looks but its just a projection of a deeper inner fear. There is a strange belief in HB9's and 10's that even if they were just average looking just as many guys would be attracted to them because of their personality, intelligence, wit, style etc etc. They have the looks but still feel a gnawing insecurity which they rationalise and mediate from the amount of guys approaching them but put them in a social situation with a high value group and they feel uncomfortable as they feel like they don't belong. Acceptance within the group is the biggest worry they have.
It's understandable in that 100,000 years ago to be ostracised from your tribe for a woman meant certain death and no chance to pass on their genes. However if a woman had a trait that made her very wary and uncomfortable when this had even a slight chance of happening then she wouldn't risk any dubious or risky behaviour and the "gene" for that wariness and insecurity would multiply in the population making her modern day HB ancestors still feel insecure in the thought of it happening.
