So I told a girl I've been texting that I wanted to take her on date (we've gotten dinner once before, but since then she's been "too busy" to get together). She responded "Hahaha it's okay we can hang out. My friend's having a birthday tomorrow if you want to come." How should I respond? My gut is telling not to go to the bday and instead insist on a real date...
Her response is telling you that she has interest but still not quite sure, don't pressure her to "date" that title has so many variables and potential road blocks. S
She mentioned "hanging out" in response to you saying "date" See that for what exactly it is and move accordingly. Go and hang out with her, show her a great time, and impress her friends. Do this right, and she is yours to date.
In the future, I'd suggest dropping the word "date" all together, especially when you haven't had time to get to know each other or in the beginning of the courting process.
Too much unnecessary pressure.
