So, needless to say, I have stumbled upon the PUA community just recently and this is my first post. I have already read through a great deal of threads, but there's just so much information that I feel like my brain is being overloaded with that I don't fully understand yet. I was thinking about what might help me sort this out, and I feel a step-by-step form of the PUA process would help me sort everything out the most. Is there a resource within this community that describes each step of the PUA process in detail. For example, starting with explaining a few different types of openers, to the game itself, to the different types of closes.

Ill be honest I found most of PUA impeded me. A lot of it focuses on making you somebody you aren't. Real change happens with developing a strong core identity. Real Social Dynamics (e.g., The Blueprint Decoded) touches on this. But for an even deeper understanding of it you can venture into teachings of Eckart Tolle and others who focus on identifying less with the mind and more being in the present moment. Sure, PUA will provide you with a few good frames and insight into understanding why women do what they do, but ultimately game reinforces the notion that you aren't good enough, and that by applying a bunch of routines, techniques, and methods that somehow you can fool a woman into thinking you're somebody you are not.

Bottom line is that a man is continually striving to improve himself, and endeavor in things HE enjoys doing well automatically attract others. Be who you are, and the let the chips fall wherever they may. That said, it's a helpful place to start in understanding the various frames or scripts men and women use. What constitutes demonstrates of high value (DHVs), etc.. Don't get caught up in the theory however as you can amass so much knowledge that it impedes you. Worse yet, you can become an Armchair PUA who can't even open a girl because he's yet to overcome his approach anxiety.

It's funny, when a guy succeeds with women he credits PUA material he'd read. The reality is he likely feels more confident having routines to rely upon so he's more inclined to approach women. It's not the material per se, but rather his feeling more confident in opening/approaching that created the opportunity. Its kind of like the skinny guy who goes to the gym and after several years of hard training bulks up and finds himself having an abundance of women at his disposal. Its not the size he'd put on but rather his state of mind that's changed ; he's more confident in himself and he exudes this - real core identity change, not something manufactured (his only flaw being that he credits his increased size for his increased success in women, not the fact that he's just more confident...skinny dudes pickup women all the time).

Lastly, befriending a few females will provide you with insight far greater than any PUA manual can give you.

I think what you're looking for is The Mystery Method - THE VENUSIAN ARTS HANDBOOK.

To me, this is the pinnacle or the foundation of pickup. Although there are many different methods, this one is probably the most common and has a linear (step by step) approach to seduction. Lot's of people seem to be moving to 'natural game' and sure, you don't want to be reciting routines all your life, but natural game is only mastered after you have gone through unnatural game.

Also, don't go over board with trying to get knowledge, take things in small steps. Our brain learns quicker in small steps and with practice.
Let's say you do decide to use the Mystery Method. Instead of reading the whole book, read about approaching and opening, and go out and practice approaching for a week. Once you've mastered the approach and open, go on to the second part of attraction (A2) and practice that in field until you're having positive responses. Do this in small chunks until you've mastered the whole method and you should have learnt it 10 times quicker than trying to go all in.

In the end, my advice is find a method and STICK TO IT.
