I cannot stress how much time would be wasted if you were to indulge in theorical reading. Don't get me wrong, understanding the theories is a key element of PU. However right now the most beneficial step is to push yourself out of your comfort zone.

I strongly recommend The Newbie Mission --> stickied in 'General Questions'

It's a great starting point for any PUA. Follow the guide and that alone will cut your learning curve by at least half garanteed IF you can complete it. Many give up or feel they have 'got the hang of it' or generally can't be fucked. Don't be that guy.
