So I met this cute girl through a friend of mine and he told that she said I'm cute but I wouldnt count on his word lol anyway so 2-3 weeks past and I saw her only like 2-3 time and only hi bye's. But this one day I saw her in the library and we talked for a little bit and I asked her for her number and she put it my phone. That was Monday so I haven't texted her yet 2 days is the general rule right?! That means I should text her Wednesday but how do I start? She doesn't have my number so when I text her it's just gonna be randome ##### I was thinking I can do something with that and let her guess who I am. Or is that a bad idea? What do you guys think?

This is a point of frustration with me right now. I've gotten three phone numbers in the past 2 weeks where I have not been able to move from texting to an actual day two. I have been reading up on this and most of the PUAs say waiting to text is a lousy idea and you should just do it right away.

It seems the other challenge is to keep the texts light and playful, don't seem needy or aggressive. One PUA said the whole problem can be avoided if when getting the number you already set up vague plans: "I know a great ice cream place, we gotta check it out".

Well pretty much, I just started getting numbers from girls and I don't say anything "special" or "carried away", I just keep it simple and say "Hey, pretty gal! It's XXXXX " Nothing complicated bro lol

So im taking her out tmw for dinner, she is driving since i dont have car that also means that she is picking me up and bringing me home :/ that might not look that good huh? and i cant really tell if she has interest or not. i will see tmw. thanks guys

Well considering she is picking you up for a day 2, it would be safe to assume that she is interested. Other then that, best advise I can give you is to talk about things that interest you. Don't worry so much about what will impress her. If you like it/are passionate about it. It will come through in the conversation. Just allow her to talk about the things that she is interested in as well, and actually listen to what she has to say, so when the time comes, you can respond with something that will show her you were listening.

Often I'll play with a girl via text if I know she doesn't have my number. Remember, however, it's a bit high risk as many girls have experienced stalking and it may evoke strong feelings of fear so IF you decide to take this approach keep it short, and keep it playful not something that may set her off such as "Love the sheets on your bed".

With respect to asking her out, it's only as difficult as you make it out to be. Get her talking about her favorite foods, for example, "Omg you like thai? I love the stuff there's this new place over at blahblahblah you should come join me i hear its AWESOME!!" So you make it contextual so the invite appears more natural and no biggie. If you spend so much time working up to it it'll confer neediness and she may feel uncomfortable on the idea of hanging out with you. If she's busy don't react simply say "Ok." and keep the convo up for a few mins before ending it.
