Location: New York | | So there is an older man I am attracted to (yes I am a woman!) and he told me that he is "honored" and "turned on" by a "young beautiful woman" showing interest in him, however he also said "While most men would totally take advantage of that" he doesn't think it would benefit either of us.
I understand that he's not interested. What I am confused by is why? I just always thought if a beautiful woman showed interest in a guy, he would jump at the opportunity...
Is he being honest here or just trying to let me down easy? Thoughts?

He says that most guys will take advantage of a younger woman by just sleeping with her, which he could to, but he wants something more serious, so he doesn't want to sleep with you just because you're young. Maybe he looks for something more specific in a girl, like a certain personality trait or certain qualities and although looks matter for a man to be attracted to a woman, you're maybe not fitting his current criteria of his ideal girl..
