Hey guys, as stated above I need some pointers how to move along with this girl I met about 10 days ago.

The background is I met her at a friends party, small group of people, she's a friend of his GF, stunning, used to model, now at uni, smart girl, a 10 in every sense of the word.
We got to talking a bit, some light flirting but no massive display of sexual tension, most of the time we were talking inside a group of people, but we had a good time, got along very well.

When it was time to leave we were heading the same way so we had some time on our own and just basically had a great time. So when we were about to go our seperate ways I got her number.

Ok, so usually I text within the next two days, but due to a busy week and some other stuff I didn't text her until the next friday(party was saturday), I texted her at lunchtime friday.
Just a simple text "Hi, nice meeting you last week. All good?...and then a simple and very dry joke referring back to our convo the week before. Ray"

Well, she didn't answer on friday and nothing on saturday either so I thought, ok worth a shot but easy come easy go, but then on sunday afternoon she suddenly texts me back. And it was quite a long and elaborate msg in which she went along with the joke from my previous text and finished off with "Hope you had a productive weekend". Nothing to flirty but it was obvious she was making an effort to be funny(she succeded btw).

I had been out running so I didn't see the text until later that night and texted her back like 6-7 hours later. I wasn't to happy with my text in hindsight, I basically went with the joke but didn't really move things forward and didn't really leave any openings for her to answer either. Was a kinda hollow text tbh, felt like it set me back a bit. I was tired what can I say.

So that's sunday night. I haven't sent another text since then but I think I'm going to text her tomorrow.

After this long introduction I have a few things I'd like to discuss with you guys.

First of all how should I approach her with my next msg? I was thinking about maybe making another spin off our in-joke, but maybe it's run it's course? Should I go with another silly opener? Or should I go straight for the let's meet part?

Also what do I make of the two day wait for her answer to my initial text? Shit test? She wasn't the slightest bit dismissive once she answered.

I'm usually pretty solid when it comes to getting laid, but as soon as I find a girl like this one who's out of the ordinary I tend to overdo things and fuck up so I could use some help from you guys to set me straight.

I would send a 'fake' disqualifier such as:

"Hey (name), I just thought I'd shoot you a text to say goodybe, you see..Aliens have come to abduct all the sexy people of (your city), but dw you'll be saf " that'll catch her attention very well.

or try
"Hey, you know I was going to ask you something really important, now please answer this as honestly as you can ok? I can't hold it in anymore, I have to know."
then let her reply with what? or huh? or whatever she'll be curious, then u pop the question which is somethign totally silly and lighthearted. eg. what's your favorite ice cream flavour or... what do you like better, white, dark, or milk chocolate?
u get the point ..along the lines.

my piece of advice about former and current models: deal that like it she's normal. I've dated a lot of models and all of them are very used to have a lot of guys "ohh geez u'r model". threat her as a college girl, not as ex-model.

btw, if It was me i'd probably went full direct as "do you know that fantastic BLABLABLA (party, movie, restaurant, whatever you choose?)?

yes - positive ->ask her out
yes - negative review -> try to lower her by mocking about her bad tast

no - positive -> ask her out
no - negative review -> mock her about saying bad things about she doesn't know yet.

but that's just me wondering what would I do in your place.

So I pretty much went with your advice Phill-Rio, I said I was going to this photo exhibition this weekend, asked if she cared to join me and promised black and white photos and my nerdy charm. Her answer: "I love that place! It's on. Make sure you bring that charm."

So I'm meeting her this weekend. Wish me luck guys! I'll keep you posted.
