cocky = excessively proud of oneself
(adj cockier, cockiest)

You do not want to be "Cocky" by itself or you will be pretty unattractive, but when you combine Cocky & Funny it makes it acceptable!

I would classify it as being confident enough to say what you want, but with the right phraseology to not be offensive, yet come accross as funny.

Examples:
