Is wearing a polo shirt & jeans too casual & 'normal' to attract girls? It looks effortless and stylish, but I see a lot of guys wearing more layers & accessories.

If they're fitted nicely it could look good, but generally that's a "dad look".

I wear that to work all the time. It looks great on me.
Gives me that "coach" look since I work in a gym.

Anyway, do your thang. I really dont like button down shirts when I go out (or in general). Like the other neck, I wore a blazer with a fuckin Tshirt lolll

If you're wanting a casual or a smart-casual outfit, I genuinely believe that it doesn't matter what type of clothing you wear; within reason. Obviously if you go to one extreme or the other, then you'll look ridiculous - board shorts and no top will look bad, whilst a tuxedo will also look out of place. However, it doesn't really matter if you're wearing jeans or chinos, tee shirt, polo, button up, leather jacket, cardigan, jumper, or whatever else.

Three things that do matter though are these;

1) Fit. Get this right. Not too baggy, not too tight. Not too long, not too short. Fit can make an average piece of clothing instantly look a huge amount better.

2) Matching colours to you. Find out what skin tone you have. Then find out what colours go well with your skin tone, your eyes and your hair colour.

3) Colour theory. There are going to be loads of colours - or shades and tones of colours - that go with your complexion/hair/eyes. So then you need to work out what colour goes with what colour.

If you can mix an outfit together that fits well, suits your skin, hair and/or eyes, and with all the colours complementing each other rather than clashing, then you're going to look a million times better than most people on the street, regardless of whether you're wearing a polo, a tee shirt or whatever else. The type of clothes you wear should represent your style - some people are tee shirt people, some people are button up people. Are you more easy going and laid back, or are you a professional who has an air of smartness around them at all times, for instance. However, whatever you're wearing, if you meet those three points I've outlined above, you'll look good (again, within reason, just make sure it's a 'normal' piece of clothing and not something like one of those hats with the fake fruit on or something like that - even if one of those fits well and has colours that suit you, I don't think you'll be able to pull it off!!!)
