Hey guys! This is my first time posting on the forum and what you guys have been posting is really amazing and has opened my eyes to most of the areas I have some problems with.

Although this question is not so much a problem for me, but I have looked for someone who has posted the same sort of thing and I could not find any of these related posts.

What I have noticed for my age group of girls, (I'm 17 by the way) Is that sometimes during conversation either with boys and girls, they sometimes belittle themselves to look for attention I suppose, by saying:

''I'm fat'' or ''Why am I so ugly..''

And usually the usual AFC would say something like:

''No babe, your sexy as fuck!''

And they would respond...:

''Hehe! But really, i'm not!''

My response is usually:

''Okay then''

But I don't know that it's the best response I should give. I've never really thought about this issue too much but recently it has been happening alot with the girls these days. I don't know if it's a new ''Trend'' that's happening to get attention or they generally it's the way women are. I'm not so equipped for this situation so I'm wondering what you guys think of the situation, your experiences if so and what you think I should say when it comes to this sort of thing.
