I'll keep this short and to the point, I was at a party the other night and i was chatting to a couple girls (HB6's and 7s) the conversation itself was fine but i was failing to escalate.
Anyway, my target asked me what my best chat up line was, (i think this was a shit test, not 100% sure, I'm still a complete novice :p) i ended up just answering something like "oh i dont need a chat up line, i just go up to a girl and say 'Hey, how you doing?' " she ended up brushing that off as 'crap' and 'that wouldnt work with me'

So what is the best response to a question like that? I didn't end up closing that night but still enjoyed myself, which i suppose is the most important thing, but i really want to tighten my game up for the coming months (loads of eighteenth birthday parties this year )

I think you should not have answered the question. She layed out her hoop and you steppped right in it. From that moment she controlled the frame and had a great opportunity to lower your value, which she did.

Ask her why she wants to know, why it is important for her to know. Say to her that you can't tell her your best chat up line, because it's a familysecret, only passed on from father to son. It's some sort of spell, if you tell a girl your best chat up line the spell is broken. Keep it playfull and always with a smile.

Sounds boring. I would use the palmistry trick and write SEX on her palm.

The girl is framing you as the selected and not the selector to give herself higher value. You could have flipped the frame by.

I'm a smartass, so I take any opportunity to bust balls. Her saying that she wouldn't answer to "hey how are you" would be prime material for that. I mean, who doesn't respond to someone saying hi? I would have called her out on that, saying "wow your cold" or maybe even be like "oh really? Well let's try it out!" then proceed to use the line.

Also, how did you start the conversation? If you started the conversation with "hi how are you?" you could have been like "well it worked on your friend here." That would have to be said though with a cocky grin and an arm draped around her friends shoulder for full effect though

I would have just taken that as an opportunity to have fun with her. Just playfully start saying some stupid/funny pickup lines. They could really be anything as long as you keep a jesting tone. You could also turn it around after a bit and try to get her to pick you up. Just keep a playful tone and try to make the interaction fun for you and her. If she still keeps giving you crap then screw it. I don't know about you but i'd rather talk to a girl that is entertaining and will play along.
