Nexting a girl is pretty much done if there is no interest on her part, or if she is toying with you over a longer period of time (if things aren't going anywhere) or if you fucked up somehow. Nexting will make it less likely for you to get oneitis, you won't be obsessing about one particular girl.

Why would you next a girl who is clearly showing interest? You are not disagreeing with any "community mindset" or whatever. I think you are confusing a few things here.

The flirting game is all about teases and games. It is about being available and then not really. About push and pull. Resistance is a push. Rejection is not even a push, it is a NO. Clear difference.
