So here's the background.
I am doing voluntary work in a community centre. What I do there is to keep the children safe and play with them.
There are 4 groups in the class room. And I am not the only volunteer. You guessed right, there are a few girls (who know each other) but they are split between the 3 groups (i am on the other group)
i would say the girls are 6-8s, but that doesn't really matter.

So when the voluntary work starts, every volunteer is sitting on seperate groups, and it is like this till the break maybe, or when the kids have different activities and there are room changing occurs.
Anyway, I find that I am not able to approach any of them, due to the group seperation, and since the girls just gather together at the break, or playing with the kids, I find it very hard for me to go talk to them.
So I have been to the volunteer for around a few weeks now, and I have seen them around 4-5times. (there are couple of them, but all belong to their crew).

Here's the problem:
I have never said Hi or anything to them. Nothing at all. Just smiled at them when i peaked at them, or when they peaked at me.

Have I seriously fucked up the oppurtunitiessssss I got?
what should i do when I talked to the t not sound fucking awkward? I have been the quiet (but confident) guy every time when they see me.

Help me please, I really beg you guys. Only got 1 week before the thing ends, and I want to seize the oppourtunity. Give me some advice to not sound fucking awkward when I talk to them, and when should I approach them?

really it doesn't matter what you say to them, it's more about how you say it. you could say the most interesting thing in the world but if you stutter and slur your words when saying it then there's a good chance that they will not be interested.

start off a simple conversation, hi, what got you interested in doing this? wow this happened yesterday when i was with my group *blah blah blah* was so funny, how's your group? any little ****s? (as you can see i'm not the best with kids) then just allow conversation to escalate from there

start off with the uglier/timid ones (not the fat ones, they usually have a boisterous insecurity layer due to other people being mean) and then gradually work you way round everyone

thanks, so should I just randomly walk up to them, take a empty seat around her, and say hi, blah blah blah etc. ?

I was looking for the right moment, and at the right moment, I flaked out.

I should also mention that when there are breaks, the girl kids (what's the word for it), just keep talking, playing with the chicks there, I just can't find when should I talk to them.

yea why not? the perfect moment may never arise in a limited time situation, if it was me i'd probably go over and say "wow, i'm fed up of being the shy one in the corner and that doesn't speak to anyone, mind if i talk to you?"

why don't you go over and play too?

I have nothing to lose when I speak to them relly,

but when I am about to talk to them, I just flaked.

relax, you're getting all self concious and neurotic about something that isn't even a big deal

you can't just make eye contact and say hi?

how is that awkward? you speak english, you wrote a coherent sentence on this forum, give yourself more credit, imagine they don't have vaginas and you don't have to make a good impression or fuck them, and just go talk to them for the sake of talking, one foot in front of the other, one task at a time, if your goal is to fuck one of these girls within a weeks timeframe, and yet you are worried about what they will think of you if you talk to them... you are destined for failure, you're putting way too much pressure on yourself to perform, you're already worried about losing the tour de france, when you have not even signed up to enter for the race yet, one step at a time man, you'll be fine
