What you should do is easy, FIRST follow the NEWBIE MISSION.

Start conversations with the women etc. Try to game them.

Once you fail, GOOD, now u have data you can work with. Ask yourself what you did wrong, what you could do better and what u did good.

Also ask those questions when u did not fail.

Improve your game little by little.

Btw, reading some books really is helpfull, havent read the Mystery Method myself yet, but a lot of game is based on principes told in that book. Read some shit about NLP, about female Psychology, about self improvement etc. Also read something about Kino Escalation (VINCENT DI CARLOS ESCALATION LADDER is a good one).

You said you want a step by step guide on how the interaction should work, but don't want to read and memorize MM? That's probably the best step by step structured method I can think of lol.. If you want to be good, then why not spend the time reading and learning the best methods? Any method we tell you will probably be based off of something we read by one of the Master PUAs, and you're gonna read our advice and memorize it and use it.. Why not get the information directly from the source if it's gonna be the same advice?
