I am hearing the same or VERY similar sentence from girls that I am opening. I opened a set tonight and a hot babe came and sat next to me after the set had opened successfully.. introduced herself to me but seemed to neg me heaps.. she said this - which I have heard SO many times from girls.

"You seem like you have a high opinion of yourself"

I responded straight off the bat as-though it were a non-deal

"Yeah I get that a lot. So when I came back to .." and I stacked forward immediately.

I discussed it with my wing afterwards, he said he doesn't get that much.

I'm wondering if any of you guys have had chicks say that to you - and what it means. I find the most honest interpretations of your character come through as opinions in the field, so I want to know the essence of what it means, and whether it is a good or bad thing they are saying that.

I will point out that this set opened fantastically. My wing got a K - close from his target (which was also part of the set). It was a 7-set with 6 girls and 1 guy. This HB also felt really attracted to me, qualified herself to me tons "I have a really well paying job etc etc" and asked me to dance. I ended up closing her by telling her to stop being rude and to dance with her friends. I wanted to open adjacent sets and although she was a HB7-8 there was a 9 in proximity that I had shown pre-selection and other switched that I wanted to open.

When she said that statement to me, it was before I had overly demonstrated much value other than successfully holding court with her friends.. very early in the interaction, almost just after she opened me (maybe 2 minutes in).

Have heard this line a shit-load from girls to me and curious to your interpretations.

It's an interpretation...to each his own. In reality, that's self confidence....it's good, be playful with it. "Of course...If I'm not going to think highly of myself who is, what you don't think highly of yourself?" w/e.

I just started getting into this PUA stuff but I ran into the same problem last night.

In retrospect I thought it would have been a good opportunity to tell a story that would bring her on a trip with me from humble to cocky. I think this would put you in in frame. Something like "Well my life has not alway been this good, I had to build my career all the way up from the mail room! It took a lot of work but now I just cant stop being excited about all the cool things I get to do."

This does 3 things. Puts it in frame so she gets a reference for your confidence, show you can invest in long term projects and brings in a contagious excitement she can get wrapped up in.

"You seem like you have a high opinion of yourself"

It's just a way of saying "you seem very confident" It's a good thing it means your inner game is good and you're congruent with it. If she had said "You seem like you have a VERY high opinion of yourself" then thats exhibiting arrogance, which could be interpreted as you demonstrating a try hard persona in an attempt to impress the girls.

Yea i been told that similar or even being over-confident, or a smart-ass. Its all good, girls say it when they are smiling at me so I know they like it.
