There's this HB8 at my local Italian place who manages the register for takeout. Anyone have some advice as to how to get further than the already forced conversation of "that'll be $15." Followed by me handing the money over and saying "thanks"

Here's a better question: would going into the restaurant without having ordered something for pickup work? I foresee her saying the welcoming "hey, how are you?" "What's the name for the order?" and me saying something like "Oh, I didn't have one, I just wanted to stop by" or something like that.

my first thoughts is to make sure you DHV* to her, you are the man when you walk in there, your free, she's the one having to work! If possible, go in there with some women and have a lunch with them, pay for there meal, this will show your class and your also DHV. A nice question to ask is:

"So what else have you got going for you besides your good looks?".

This can start a simple conversation, so run with it, game her, and try get a phone number. remember, learn how to neg her and all that before you try asking for a number, she will more than likely give you her number if you make it seem like SHE has to work to get with YOU. that is essential, also when your there with your friends (the women) make sure you make them laugh and lean back as if you are the person in the group to be looked up to, that you have higher value!

*DHV is where you make someone believe that you are of higher value than them, that you matter more in society than they do (this doesn't mean bragging about your $200,000 car, but just your body language and the way you talk can convey this)

Here are some things :
- notice her appearance, and how it changes the next time. You can go from respectful "nice haircut, it makes you like blabla" to weirdo "is this red skirt magic to make you such big breast ?" (if you're desperate for attention, be prepared to handle some reaction there )
- the previous pushed to an extreme : notice that she exists "Are you new here ? " You can play like "what the hell are you doing in MY restaurant" and ask questions about her, etc, and validating her.
- ask her for advice about the food, especially if you're with friends, etc. If you're late and just before leaving, you can invite her to join to thank her for the advice (or to make sure the food is fresh). You can play very picky and sure of yourself here "Oh no, mediteranean tuna is way less tasty than...blabla"

Good one Sombre, I like the "are you new here" opener. I will def be stealing this. It sets up nicely for questions that make her validate herself. Also a great addition to this is to ask if she is old enough to sell Alchohol. even ask to see her ID
