Wikipedia defines a PUA as:A man who considers himself to be skilled, or who tries to be skilled at meeting, attracting, and seducing women. For making a casual acquaintance with a stranger in anticipation of sexual relations.

In the short term!

A lot of advice on here seems to be geared toward, love loss and extended relationship!

Not that relationships are a bad thing.

But isn't the above description why this forum was developed?

Who knows if a guy who studies pickup even made the wikipedia page. Fact is guys have different goals. But there really isn't any difference between approaching women to try to date and approaching women to try to have casual hooksups with. The way you carry yourself, your attitude, etc should be the same.

Guys do have different goals, I'm not disputing that, nor am I disputing that there are Methods.

I am okay however with the Wikipedia definition in the fact most here came to sharpen their skills for attracting, and seducing women. Or at least I did.

I did not come here to look for that magic bullet that will make my oneites fall madly in love with me, so that I can put her on a pedestal and keep her in the castle tower, so no other eyes may gaze upon her!

Because that shit doesn't fucking work!

I see post after post "There's this ONE girl" "I need HER!". "She is a HB10, the ONLY one I will ever need!

That shit is simply not TRUE!

In the US alone there is 156 MILLION Women! There are 4.8 million more females than males!

As you get older it get even better, by middle age you will be out numbered nearly 2-1!

The odds SHE is the one are total bullshit!

Once you get this in your mind, you will not care so much about "The ONE" and that deep deep swagger will remain with you forever. You will no longer be concerned or care that she will stay or go. Women will sense this and naturally gravitate to you.

Get past "The One"! Get this part of your life under control and when you do get into a relationship always remember, Abundance is in YOUR favor! and carry that attitude with you always! She will likely never leave you!

I completely agree with you bro but when I was young I had the same thoughts. One gal out there, bla bla bla, it's just part of our instilled culture, so when we grow up we have this thought. Glad I left that train of mind.

I'd say most PUAs get into this stuff because they ended up with a bad bout of one-itis, so they come one here thinking this is the place to get the one girl they are after. Most of these younger guys will get educated and realize there are multiple women out there who fit the long term bill for them.

I'd say the community goes through cycles as new younger guys come in with these old ideals, then they get their thoughts turned around as they learned the truth about love and long term relationships.

I'd say we definitely all come on here with our own interests and thoughts in mind, but the overall goal for all of us is to be good with women, whether that is to find one special women or nail 1000s.

I completely agree that the abundance mentality it great for picking up girls and staying attractive. If helps you seem aloof and not needy when you know there are so many women out there for you. You are in a position of power because you can choose who to spend your time with.

However, I also want to play devil's advocate for a sec because I feel like this happens a lot as well. When you do adopt this mindset for women, it's easy to meet numerous girls and have casual relationships. Now, in my mid-twenties, I'm looking for something a bit more substantial. I'm finding it difficult to shake this "abundancey mentality" and I sometimes doubt if this one girl is perfect because there is possibly another one out there. Maybe it's the thrill of the chase or being picky, but it can be very frustrating at times. Most guys get into PUA to be successful with women, but the end game for most of us is to find that special someone down the road that is truly worth it. Do any of you ever feel the same way?

There are as many definitions of a PUA as there are PUAs, or a bit more actually. I would say that a PUA is a person who deliberately and with a well though out plan in mind forms a connection to other people, having erotic intentions.

Now this forum consists not only of PUAs but also of rAFCs (reformed AFCs) who have seen that they need to change something but dont know how.

Its like the 4 steps of learning.

1. It doesnt work and you dont know what you are doing wrong.

2. It doesnt work but you know what you are doing wrong.

3. It works but you dont know why.

4. It works and you know why.

Basically, number 4 would be the PUA.

I have failed every time in the past when I have expected the girl to move on me first when being the perfect gentleman and I have never failed yet with the Alpha method.

I know this may seem like thread hi-jacking and that isn't the point of this but why can't you be Alpha and a perfect gentlemen? Are you not being a gentlemen by escalating? I'm very alpha, quite dominant with a presence BUT I'm still polite (not to be confused with submissive) and a gentlemen. I don't see escalating as making me not a gentlemen.

We all get into PUA for a variety of reasons, but all of us came on her with the intention to get good with women this means instilling a confident attitude or Alpha as people seem to prefer to want to call it around here. This means getting confident because the center of getting good with women is confidence in your abilities with them (confidence usually comes from experience and knowledge).

I do not agree with the MYTH: People join the forum to get better with women...


Some people join the forum to be with unique individual(seducers), and develop bonds with other seducers... I do not think for example "sexaddict" joined to learn about seduction...Other people join for ENTERTAINMENT, the idea that people join a forum to get better with women, is not true. Actually joining a forum may delay your progress or make you worst. I was a total moron and blew literally 100's of opportunities. A huge sorry to all those girls out there. It was not you but I had no idea what I was doing acting like some queer wuss.

Those days are over forever and we owe it as men to give all women as much dick as possible.
