From what I am getting it seems that the overall value of PUA is not necessarily in the techniques, but rather in the confidence it instills. Is that about right?
Lines, openers, routines.... are a starting point.
Over time, you start to develop your own 'scripts'. Further still, you'll start identifying concepts/nuances and you'll be able to analyze your sets as well...but it depends on what you want to get out of it; and as a result, confidence is affected
The truth is that in the end - everything you learn manifests itself in the man you become. If you want to lose weight - you lose weight. If you want to learn how to fight - you learn a martial art. If you want to learn how to attract women - you LEARN that as well. It's natural to some, it's developed for others. I'm sure there are talents you have that are simply natural... That's been my ability with communication.... You learn what does and doesn't work - then.... you look at yourself and you're intrinsically more self-confident.
They're reciprocal in my eyes. One hand scratches the other... 'PUA skills' will improve your confidence as much as your confidence will improve your PUA skills. Both of which are a good thing.
