What’s happenin fellas, I'm Game7 from NY. I recently, 2 months ago, started getting interested in PU after stumbling upon it when I was trying to google some good ice breaker texts. On my next post Id like to go more in-depth with my introduction so you guys and know where my mindset is and what my goals are. My question is, how important is studying PU? I know field experience is the best, but how much studying would you guys recommend and why?

Studying can only get you so far. The biggest obstacle to get over is the approach anxiety. I've only recently read the mystery method and joined this forum. I was trying to teach myself how to pick up women and once I got out there I started seeing exponential results. It doesn't take much to arm yourself with the basic knowledge, then you just need to get out in the field. The best part of pick up is the confidence it gives effects all areas of your life in a positive way.

First of all, welcome. And about the study of PU, i can tell you this:
99% of men around the world are able to SOMETIMES get a close on a girl they like, such a getting a phone number, getting a kiss, perhaps even getting laid. But those things only happen once in a while. That's what society calls; being lucky.

But with the proper study of pick-up, men will be able to kill the lucky part, and get laid in every situation possible, no matter how bad the conditions are. When you reach this stage, you are a mPUA: master pick-up artist. AFC's (average frustrated chumps) who (almost) never get woman want to BE you and women want to be WITH you. Because then you are attractive, you have status, you are confident and your mind doesn't f*ck you up when talking to gorgeous women.

On the studying part i recommend the following:

- Make small goals which will eventually lead to your final goal. Process little by little and eventually you will look in the mirror and think: wow this guy is goddamn sexy!
- Make sure you hit the field as much as possible. No matter how much u read, without hitting the field, you will not get any further.
- Try different routines, ice-breakers and openers. Get feedback on them (making a video, record it on a mp3, have a wingman watching you) and see if the openers are good or bad.

you will never get any women in any situation. that's a myth. even the best pua's in the world will tell you this. the difference between a good pua and a afc is

1. the consistency with which you get your lays

2. the quality of women you get your lays with (how close to your vision of the "perfect female" are your targets that you succeed with)

in field experience is gold, studying is important to increase the speed of your results. my recomendation is (and i did not do this at first and it slowed me down)

1. set goals (like with everything in life) short. medium. long.

2. keep a journal (you can also do the video thing and feedback from your wing or anyone else versed in the art of seduction is a big plus)
