When you think about pick-up, the hardest part for beginners is going out there and talking to girls. Just before you go in and do it, you get all hyped up and you almost piss yourself before doing that approach. But think of it as this way.

The moment before you talk to a girl is like the moment before taking a really cold shower. You know it's gonna be a bitch and you'll fell into a mini shock after it, but as it continues you are getting used to it and after a while it gets pleasant. You are starting to like it and enjoy it. But after that first one, you'll still feel the fear of a second one, but it's going to be 0,0000001% less, because you know what you are doing and it is 0,0000001% more familiar to you. In a long run you are decreasing your fear and it might still be some unpleasant, but you like it way more than you did at the first time.
There are two topics related to that, warm up sets (everytime you turn your game on, you need to burn some ground before you get yourself into state/PU mode or whta the hell ever is that called) and long run game (where you do that for that amount of time that you like it more than you are scared of it).
